I do believe that people with crashes have some problems with their PC (not genuine software, os plagued by viruses, incorrectly installed drivers, not actual drivers or so).
Cuz cool people do not have any crashes.
Um..where do you get this idea? Or are you being sarcastic?
Let's see...my copy of Mass Effect 2 is a collector's edition from amazon.com. Unless you think they would sell me pirated software I think my game is a genuine copy.
Last scan I did two days ago comes up with no viruses, no spyware.
drivers are installed fine, I have an ATI Radeon 5870, I put in driver 10.1 and just to be sure the Mass Effect 2 hotfix.
Sorry, I'm one of the "cool people" as you put it, yet my game does crash. Not a lot, but last crash caused me to lose my achievements, all else is fine and I can still play my saves.
Anyway, to be on topic I guess I'd look into what causes the achievements to get wiped after a crash, and maybe see what cutscenes are doing. Almost every crash I've had was during a cutscene.

- Keybinds for Journal (J), Codex (O), Squad (U)
- Old combat HUD where you have the commands for the other teammate on the left edge of the screen and the commands for the other on the right side of the screen. Also, a bit bigger icons for weapons and skills wouldn't hurt.
-Ability to scroll text with mouse wheel

Bug fixes would be nice, mainly the floaty bug.

Redo the lock bypass systen to allow more time for us disabled gamers w/ slow reaction times. I am one of those. I'm not liking the fact that I can't do it. I have tried over and over, but can't get into any locked doors or locked safes. I want to get my Krogan, but can't get through the locked doors. Please, change this... Or add omni-gel back into the mix, so I can finish this part of the game, plus any other locked items.
There is a research upgrade for increasing the time limit on hacks, not sure about decryption. Also I'm sure if you ask in the other forums someone will be able to help you hack the coalesced.ini file to increase the timeouts, if it's a setting in there.

A patch that would actually enable the game to run without turning of cinematics and using various hacks would also be nice.
If you're having issue viewing movies in-game, it may be an errant codec sandwiching itself into your game. Checking to see if you can either uninstall them entirely, or setting them up to exclude Mass Effect 2 may help you. (for instance, FFDShow has exclude functionality)

1. In the mission debriefing screen, the last menu option to 'close briefing' does nothing. Instead you have to hit the exit button on the bottom of the screen. Don't know how that made it through to the final game.
2. While I would like larger text boxes in some the codex pages, weapon info screens, etc.. I would settle for just having the ability to scroll these boxes the mouse wheel. It's way too cumbersome to constantly click items on screen and then manually move scroll bars.
3. Scanning planets with the mouse settings as they are is really irritating. I’m glad I have a manual dpi setting on my mouse but still, these needs a fix.
4. Whilst it is unlikely that Bioware will do anything now, some of the textures in the game are terrible. It’s mainly the clothing textures of NPC's in conversations that’s a problem. Faces look excellent, cloths look awful. I hope the source textures make their way out some way, even if it’s an optional hi-res mod or something.
Generally speaking, Bioware have put together a pretty good PC version of the game especially in comparison to some other recent pc titles with severe 'consolitis' (looking at borderlands). Still, I think they should have allowed easier tinkering with the settings (especially considering how easily these can be made in unreal engine games) and would really have preferred more streamlined PC menus.

None of my other games crashed except for Dragon Age. I even formatted my drive and did a fresh OS install and it still crashes, so there.TrekCZ wrote...

There's a section in .ini that is supposed to tweak this, but settings do not work. So, if any of you, devs, are reading this, I'm asking that you'd possibly consider at least enabling those .ini params so that advanced tweakers could play around with it.
Thanks

i think they should add that when you leave the Normandy you leave with max ammo and max medi-gels
This. It makes absolutelly no sense that you have a weapons reaserch lab and are funded by cerberus and they wouldn't give you full heat clips and medi-gel for a mission. It's a pain having to fight a large battle and be empty on the next one. But since this is a game mechanic issue, I guess it won't be patched.

Increase PC save count...50, really? The QA team dropped the ball on that one.

- Fix the mouse speed;
- More graphical options (ex: lower resolutions than 1280x720 to a 16:9 screen );
- Overall bugs (sometimes we have to walk back and forth to try to select/talk to the damn thing on the screen; and when we're going to talk to Aria her "talk box" just disappears, and we have to go to another area, and come back to see if her "talk box" came back);
- Speed improvement (elevators sometimes take forever, even tough supposedly it already arrived at the destination; squad and armory/guns selection also takes a lot);
- And I'm sure there must be more problems around...

- Fixing the DLC armour so that the helmets can be removed/turned off.
- Actually allowing us to properly tweak our import Shepards by keeping their sliders when one goes to edit them rather than setting the sliders to default as soon as you try and modify your Shepard in any way.
- Fixing the Conrad Verner bug where he treats you as if you treated him as a Renegade even when you didn't (I don't recall acting like a jerk and shoving a gun in his face... just saying...)

-Clipping
-Getting stuck on environments
These are my two biggest issues. The clipping isn't game breaking but I have gotten stuck on a few occassions that has caused me to load up a save. If they could fix that I'd be exetremely happy, but once again it isn't game breaking.

This one, and all the other import inconsistancies. (The impacts of ME1 side missions being reported as if they didn't happen or went wrong, a dirth of reports from people who made choices that resulted in "dead" side characters who show up alive in ME2, and so on.) I mean, either something is wrong or Cerberus has been really busy reconstructing everyone who took a dirt nap as a result of shepard's actions.

long load times can be fixed by editing the movies folder. There is a forum post about it.

Some examples (Spoiler warning):
- Tali's arraignment hearing when you arrive on the flotilla for her loyalty mission (I only had a few conversations then I was off to the ship).
- Picking "Take your time" at the end of Jack's loyalty mission (either option immediately ends the mission).
- The Normandy invasion sequence was completely bugged out when I first started playing. Found Chambers casually standing in the elevator with two Collectors, and there wasn't a cutscene for when Joker activates EDI.
Sometimes the problems would be fixed with a reload, but most of the time, the game just plowed through and autosaved.
