Damage per Shotgun Pellet i assume. So if all pellets hit, it's quite the damage.

I assume you got this info from coalesced.ini
Is there a file that shows the exact effects of abilities like Adrenaline Rush?
Not really it doesn't. That number is not counting reload time.
70 shots in a minute? Takes 1.5-2 seconds to reload. Good lord, use your friggin head.
Sigh!
Reload time isn't really relevant for my play style.
I pop assassin cloak and then I have ~2 secs to kill something dead before I take cover again.
In those 2 secs I can get off 1 shot with the widow gauranteed. I can get about 3 shots off with the viper.
The 1 shot from the widow does ~45% more damage than the 3 shots from the viper. That's supprising. I like it, but it's still supprising.

Also there's some other multiplier which I'm trying to figure out. It's called friction and is range dependent. I believe it might be an air friction reducing all bullets/slugs impact force => damage. Shotguns don't have this penalty at low range, while all other weapons do.

True, but the Viper has to reload as well. Plus if you're an Infiltrator the Widow is an easy choice because of Tactical Cloak.
Also, the DLC weapons have their own files. The flamethrower is in BioGame/DLC/DLC_HEN_VT/Cooked PC/BIOWEapon.

Assault Rifles - M-76 Revenant
This isn't surprising given that most people who've used this sing its praises.
Sub Machine Guns - M-9 Tempest [Editted]
Because the Tempest fires in bursts of 5 instead of 3 like the Shuriken, it actually does ~14% more damage than the default SMG. Slightly better, but not great. It seems that unless you're an Infiltrator, you really should train Assault Rifles ASAP. Infiltrators can't afford to give up the Widow in my opinion.
Heavy Pistols - M-6 Carnifex Hand Cannon
Hits harder and faster than a shotgun. Surprisingly effective weapon you can get very early on.
Shotguns - M-300 Claymore Heavy Shotgun
Still doesn't hit as hard as the best heavy pistol. I guess it's good for taking out shields/barriers. Overall, shotguns seem to suck. This matches my experience on my Soldier.
Sniper Rifles - X-98 Widow Anti-Material Rifle
The greatest damn weapon ever invented. I love this gun more than a man should ever love a collection of pixels. Absolutely no surprise here whatsoever.
Heavy Weapons - Collector Particle Beam
Again no surprises here. Cain sucks because of its extremely low rate of fire.

This however is surprising. The standard LMG has better dps than the Tempest. The Tempest has a much larger ammo capacity but that doesn't really help much if you play like I do. I find I have to duck back behind cover frequently anyway. I might as well reload while I'm back there.

Couple mistakes:
The Vindicator is the best Assault Rifle because it is pinpoint accurate, this means headshots, unlike the inaccurate Revenant even with the Accuracy Upgrade. The SMGs don't really matter, I prefer the "true" SMG simply because the only time I ever use the SMG is if I run out of ammo (which is pretty much never) and I like having the extra ammo for some reason. Hand Cannon is by far the best pistol. Claymore is debatable because it is single shot vs. the extra shots from the 2nd tier Shotgun. Widow is clearly the best, even moreso if you are an Infiltrator. The Grenade Launcher is the best heavy weapon (unless you just wanna 1 shot a boss with the Cain), it has more than double the DPS of the Particle Beam. It is also medium penetration vs. light penetration which I assume means it does more damage to armor.

The exceptions are:
-The Revenant Light Machine Gun. Even with its massive ammo capacity, it still has the highest dps of all Assault Rifles.

I really like how they trimmed down the inventory system. But I really missed seeing those numbers! For ME3, they should keep something similar but add the stats in the description.

Like usual here you are with your halfbaked analysis. Vindicator is the best assault rifle for infiltrators but revenant is better for soldiers. revenant would be better for just about everyone else too, if they could use it. hand cannon is really only good for a soldier, maybe an infiltrator depending on what weapon they picked. Everyone else is better off using the newbie pistol. Particle beam is good, but mostly for dealing with swarms, not bosses, though sitll good for dealing with praetorians though. Window sucks ass for any non infiltrator.Hoffburger wrote...

On the Vindicator vs. Revenant:
It's a judgement call. I like the Vindicator for precisely the reason you state: I use it to headshot-snipe enemies during Adrenaline Rush. But there are times when this isn't feasible. When you have husks or masses of other enemies running at you from multiple directions, you can't afford to snipe in this fashion (at least I can't, your milage may vary). In these situations, Assault Rifles are the best weapons for laying down suppresion fire; and the Revenant is the best of the bunch.
On Claymore Shotgun:
I'm not sure I care about the single vs. multi shot nature of shotguns. They all fire so slowly that I just use them to burst down barriers/shields at close range then switch to something else that doesn't suck.
On Particle Beam v. Grenade Launcher:
Yeah you're righ about the dps of the Grenade Launcher. I rarely use heavy weapons however. When I do, I find other factors like ease of use, range and aim factor against the Grenade Launcher. But like I said, I'm hardly an expert on heavy weapons.
On thing's for certain: Cryoblaster is terrible!

It seems the developers overvauled magazine capacity. Sure submachine gun A might allow me to fire twice as long as submachine gun B, but if I'm playing on Verteran/Hardcore/Insanity that's irrelevant because if I stay that long out of cover I'm going to get dead. All the large magazine versions of each weapon class seem to suck.
The exceptions are:
-The Revenant Light Machine Gun. Even with its massive ammo capacity, it still has the highest dps of all Assault Rifles.
[Edit]
I was wrong about the Collector Beam.
Revenant can't headshot very well and can miss a lot of shots. It is definitely not the best assault rifle because it's inaccurate as hell, especially if you have any FPS skill at all (not like you need much with Adrenaline Rush). Think of the Revenant like Sasha in TF2.

Shotguns are melee weapons, period. They're worthless outside of melee(notice how they're nicknamed after swords). They hit much harder than Sniper Rifles. However, the fact that Shotguns are only good at melee range is its own problem. Meleeing enemies in a cover-based game is just asking for trouble.

This is a surprise to me. I found things to drop a lot faster with the Tempest. The only problem I had with it was it's recoil issues.

Good point. Tempest does about 14% more damage per burst than Shuriken making it slightly better.
I wonder if Tactical Cloak counts an entire burst as a single "shot" when calculating bonus weapon damage.

As usual you are here with your baseless arguments and pathetic attempts at proving me wrong. Widow still has higher DPS than the Viper, the Revenant can only be used by the Soldier in the first place, but it still sucks. If the Vindicator is better for an Infiltrator then why wouldn't it be better for a Soldier? Answer, it is. The Hand Cannon is better for everyone because it does more DPS. I know your argument will be that you get more damage out of the regular pistol because it has more ammo and this is good for the classes that start out with only 3 weapons even though you completely failed to say this.
You are wrong though because not only does the default pistol give you only 200 total extra damage, but the classes that have only 3 base weapons will be using their weapons to finish people off, in which case firing a single shot from the Hand Cannon to the head of an enemy to finish them off after Warping/Overloading/Reaving them is a lot better than firing 2-3 from the regular pistol.
But hey, you're right, I know nothing about what I'm talking about. You, in your infinite wisdom, don't even need to validate your statements to prove me wrong.
