Hello folks, I'm having a bit of a problem.

I'd like to start off by saying that my computer has no problem running Fallout 3 and Oblivion at high settings.

I run Dragon Age Origins with High Textures and such,  triple buffering off, and have Anti Aliasing x4

My system:

Memory: 2048MB RAM
Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+,  MMX,  3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
OS: XP

What my problem is: When I first installed the game, while running with settings on "very" high, my game would randomly crash to desktop at random periods of playing. I turned down the graphics to High, and was able to play longer with no crashes. However, the longer I played the game, my frame rate would slowly worsen, and the loading times would also increase.

What was also startling was the fact that by normally exiting the game, I would get a blue screen. Alt tabbing out and right clicking, and closing the program would not get a blue screen.

I'm at a loss here, I've reinstalled the game, and reinstalled the graphics card drivers, and haven't seen too much change.

And once again, I do not have problems playing oblivion or Fallout 3. Anyone else having my sort of problem?

*edit* Its also worth noting, perhaps, is that I got my game from Steam.

You might try re-installing, it sounds like a game file might be corrupted.(sry didn't see that you re-installed already)

But why would I get a BSOD with just this game? :(

Could be a lot of reasons, knowing what the BSOD message you get is can help a lot.

Sketch, if it's a driver issue that is exactly what you'd get. A BSOD with just this game. So what's the error, sir?

I can't really catch anything specific, BSOD is way too quick for me :(

90% of the time BSOD is due to a memory conflict or other resource conflict. That being said, I am having similar issues. Load times constantly increase in length and the game becomes non-responsive, although most of the time it recovers and continues, spikeing the useage of the CPU. Tech support merely told me it was a driver issue, which it is not IMO. ALl drivers are up to date. i as well can run oblivion and fallout 3 on max settings with no issues or lag...trying to run DAO on medium levels and still having issues. 8GB RAM, AMD 9500 Quad Core 2.20 GHz, Vista 64bit OS, dual 800GT Nvidia Geforce cards in SLI mode

I have heard the problem for long load times and a slower than it should be game is due to the AMD processor. I heard there was a download in the forums for it too.... go from 5 min load to a 1 min load, will seem like no time at all hah.
