It's definitely not just you.. do the devs say anything about planned patches or anything like that? Have any issues been addressed at all? I read on IGN that they said they weren't planning to fix the "small text" issue.. I wonder if anything will ever be done about these stupid help messages.smudgedhorizon wrote...
I'm glad it's not just me who found this annoying, patronising and immersion breaking. I really hope it is patched out.
How to turn off annoying pop-up help messages?

This is a glaring oversight. In ME1, there was an option to disable tutorials, but such an option does not exist in ME2, as far as I can tell. It's definitely extremely annoying (and cannot possibly be working as intended), to constantly be reminded of how to launch a probe or heal your squad - as if we would forget how to do that after only five minutes! It's stupid to get these pop-ups more than once, and it's stupid that they obstruct the screen as much as they do (especially the one about ending a mission, which, as already has been mentioned, covers the dialogue wheel).
Tacky and inept coding is behind this, and it must be fixed as soon as possible.

I'm so glad there is a topic about this. This has been bugging me as well...mainly while I'm scanning planets.
"Press RT to launch a probe"
But...there is barely even a 100 units of Palladium there!

Hi, I would like to be able to turn off these popups. Especially the achievement popups. Yes, I just got another headshot, thanks for reminding me, AGAIN. God it's annoying.

We should be able to deactivate this.
Only information worth showing would be credits, alignment and experience.

I'll join the ranks. I hate these as well. I found this thread by searching for a way to disable them. They border on insulting and are in an extremely intrusive location on the screen.

For PC, it's pretty simple: http://social.biowar...1055159#1464109
