Any speculation?  All I can come up with is that he needed new ones from staring at stars too long.

I don't think he's completely human.

They're ethier cybernetic etheir because he's been staring at that damn sun so long or just because he has all the damn money in the universe.. Or he's part geth/prothean/some unknown alien race. <_<

A nice possibility, the never state directly that all the Protheans died in the first game when you're talking to Vigil.

OMG!! :o TIM = Prothean. That would be a very nice punch to the story. Here's to hoping

I doubt that he's Prothean. If you go back to ME1 though, doesn't his eyes look similar to the way Saren's eyes did? Could mean that he's been influenced by the Reapers at one point possibly...

So TIM is a renegade (obvious)? Sweet!

I figure they're just implants/cyber-eyes.

No, if he were a renegade, he would have red eyes.  His are blue.

TIM the SUPER-PARAGON.

hes definitely not human.

either an original prothean, or an AI of some sort...

im sure hes gonna be evil in ME3 .. and some sort of event could trigger him to turn against humanity or some ****, who knows..

i still wonder what the restricted things that EDI could do were?

i mean when u first talked to EDI he said there were some sealed things that would open when somethin triggered em etc?

Reaper gone good guy. Not too far out there. Think of the Geth, aka Legion. Maybe he doesn't like what the Reapers are doing. Human = Prothean = Collectors.

If he is anything but Human with biotic implants like Shepard I'll be mad. Would be a really stupid plot twist to have the head of a pro human organization to be an alien. Also why they hell would he need help find out stuff with Shepard if he already knew all the answers he wanted.

Yes, the Illusive Man is Prothean with a pro-human agenda. Maybe it's because humans are ancient descendants of the last 12 remaining Protheans!

Gentlemen, get out your tin foil hats.

Did you guys notice that the sun he looks at is always red.  But at the end of the Game the last time we see him his sun is now blue?

Only if you destroy the station, keep it and it's red.  It's like the planet at the end of ME1 being blue or red (paragon or renegade)

Protheans = Collectors.

He doesn't look like a Collector to me :P

I think he's just an AI.

The Protheans were very heavily modified to become the collectors, though.  He also doesn't need to look like one to be one... but I really doubt he's anything but a modified human.
