Is the Coercion skill only good on the main / player character?  I'm failing all my persuade and intimidate checks, even going through the dialogs every different way I can.  I'd prefer to keep my mage without the skill, but it doesnt seem to kick in from other party members as the dialogs all center around the player character.

well it also depends on the characters Cunning and Strength for intimidate you need a high strength to succeed i have succeeded in these with a high strength and low coercion.

True, but a mage isnt going to have high strength or cunning. That's why I was curious if it would use any party members but it doesnt appear to do so. Oh well, I'll just have to bull through this stuff

Considering the PC is always the speaker when dealing with people outside the parties.(with rare exceptions when the party members speak up about something or other) it makes sense.Usually enough points to go around with the pc...you do get one or two extra per pc(assuming preorder)

Either deal with it or ignore it.NPC's dont even get the option of learning the skill.

you will get a nice stat boost during the mage tower quests which will help. really i didnt have anything else to put points into, all the "crafting" skills can be covered by the npc's.
