Actually it would be great if both the female templar and anders were recruited by conscription now that would be interesting dialogue
I certainly hope not, don't want another ala Alister/Morigan banter on the background:mellow:
Edit: Though i do hope you get to fight her, now that would be intresting

The "misterious" lady-knight you see in the trailer doesn't seem to be her, face-wise, hard to say though, the detail is very small.

"Oh my. My mage will be swooning also...if he doesn't, yanno...hate her for being a blood mage. :?" -> quoting someone, sorry...

Looks like he's taking Alistair's role as the snide sarcastic buddy... and from what little I've seen he has a backstory that could prove really damn cool. He's like Jowin but not a whiny little b****. Can't have a great group without a great mage, and he looks like he may be just that
I just hope he doesn't prove a stereotyped male version of Morrigan...

He didn't come off like that at ALL. We can't really judge off that short video, but he came off to me as FAR more like Alistair then Morrigan.
He struck me as Alistair without any sense of duty. Alistairs a funny and playfull guy, but he's is loyal and determined to do his job. This new guy, from the description and video, sounds like he's all about breaking free of duty and loyaltty, he just wants to be free and party.
Reminds me of a male Chiana from farscape actually.
PS- This video almost proves Oghren is more then just a temp companion. We know he's gonna team up with you (thanks to the black marsh video), but a few speculated that it might be a temporary cameo thing. However, in this video he was in an area obviously not related to black marsh...

Oh Dear, he got me there too.
If he is ..uh ...*ahem* a romance option...some of my characters might not mind in trading in Alistair >.>.

Totally agree with you on his personality simularity, mostly cause of the part in the vid where who walk into him burning a shade and say's, oh, uh, i didn't do it.
About Oghren, we can't tell for sure that the place you see him fighting isn't near the black marches though it does like it as it has the same gloomy atmosphere

But the new guy doesn't look too bad. I think I'll start a new character to bring on over to awakening for that.

Anders is a lot of fun in the party. He's involved in some of my favorite banter exchanges. I have to force myself not to take him in my party when I'm testing sometimes.
Argh, you're such a tease!

Finally can put a name to his face, and it fits him just well!
probably gonna be my new fav, but wait and see for the other characters....
his voice acotr is the same one as alistair?, he sounds a bit like him imo, also I thought females didn't become templars....
* uhm I didn't do it" >_>.....

Did anyone else notice Alistair walking with the group of templars?
Yep. So if Alistair is an NPC and not a companion, it looks as though he'll still be involved in the storyline somewhat, anyway.
Yay!

Yeah...if you ever need a hand in testing, I could probably help you out. It would be a major imposition, but I might be able to fit it into my schedule.

So it looks like Alistair is nothing but a quest giver.
Don't worry, I'm 10000% sure bioware will do Alistair justice. I mean, sure he may not be a companion, but christ... he plays a bigger role in the DA universe now then ever before.

Of course, this small video doesn't show Anders to the full extent but I get the gist of what he will be like.
