Just bought and installed Mass Effect 1 for the first time, and I'm having some really irritating problems. If I play the game for more than about half an hour in a row, everything slows down. Characters move really slowly and the mouse moves slowly too. Anyone who got some advice?

No one much is reading the forums to any great extent, while the moderators allow almost any but the most blatant bad behavior to go unpunished. The resultant chaos is very distasteful. Meanwhile, numerous incomplete messages such as what you have written are unanswerable, and ignored by the few who are reading an occasional complaint.
