Ok, so here's something. If I log out of my account within the game, I can access the DLC. But if I log in, I can't. That is so weird. I'm happy that I can play again, yay! I am concerned however, from what I've read that this is temporary since other have had inconsistent results with logging in and out. I hope you guys get this fixed soon!

It's annoying to have to do that every time I want to play the game though. While I would like my stuff to be synced to the cloud, I think I'll wait until Bioware comes out with a fix.

If not, will I have to reinstall DA:O? If that is the case, how do I get at my game saves to back them up? Thanks!

The problem began when I moved my Steam folder to another hard drive. I followed official instructions on how to do so. The issue is that DA:O installs this DAUpdaterSVC.services.exe program in the services and moving this folder breaks this. You cannot (I think) update the path of a service. So I had to uninstall it and reinstall it. I ran into another problem when I tried to uninstall it because the original file wasn't where it was expected to be. So what I did was this.
1. The original file was installed at C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\ DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe. I created this directory and copied the file DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe into that directory.
2. I ran cmd as admin and followed the directions here: Click Here under the headgin 3.2.4. This uninstalled the broken reference to the updater in Services.
3. Restarted my PC.
4. Using that same forum post in 2. I installed the updater in my new directory. I had to restart because Services will complain that the updater is marked for deletion.
And that should be it. I then opened up DA:O from Steam, logged in and yay! Hope this helps anyone who's having the same problem.

You can confirm what content is entitled for your account via the following link
http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php
If the account is entitled to the account and you're still seeing the content as unauthorized if you're logged into the game with that account, my suggestion would be to clear all your content and redownload it. We are working on providing an application to do this but in the meanwhile it can be done manually.
1) Shut down Dragon Age: Origins
2) In Windows, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run'
3) In the command line type 'net stop DAUpdaterSvc'
4) Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml' and 'Offers.xml'and 'addins.xml'
5) Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age' and delete the 'Offers' folder
6) Navigate to 'C:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\All Users\\\\Application Data\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\' and delete the 'DAUpdater' folder
7) Navigate to 'C:\\\\My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder
8) In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'
9) Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in
10) Your content will be available for redownload on the Download Progress tab
I am having the same problem. I am not some idiot who is logged into the wrong account. I followed your instructions though they do not apply correctly with Vista, your instructions are for XP. After changing some security settings I was able to follow your instructions, now I have no installed content, no downloading conent, and no available content - it is all empty. Now I will uninstall the game go do something else while it downloads for the next 10 hours or so from Steam, so much for a relaxing Saturday morning playing Dragon Age, maybe next weekend.
Bioware, this is how your annoying and obtrusive DRM has thanked me for spending over $70+ on your a game and addons, not to mention being a longtime purchaser of all your other games. This is completely unacceptable, make DRM that works on people that actually pirate instead of legit customers, or don't make DRM at all. How the game and your servers can see that I am logged in and still not give me access to the content (and my saved files, so effectively the entire game) is beyond me.
Completely unacceptable.

Anyway, no one ever told the last previous misguided soul that he had arrived in the wrong place, so here goes that much --

no "Bioware Tech" here. You replied to another game player's advice,
not a Techie from EA's Support Line; that's all that is here. Gamers
writing back and forth to each other. If you wanted something official,
you were in the wrong place. Pay better attention!
Now, it's your turn -- what was wrong with this next thread?

If its running stop the service and then start it back up, if its not running then start it. Load dragon age, log in to your account. go to download content page and let it refresh it should work now.
Make sure your account here is linked to your EA account properly. Also that your running in administrator mode or have those programs enabled to have admin access. Also generaly disable firewall programs helps too.

Evertime I feel less and less like playing this game. And as my friends tell me, "is it really worth to buy games?". I guess I should listen to them.

Content appears as unauthorized if the game can't verify you are the owner of the content. Please confirm that the account you're using is the same as the one you redeemed The Stone Prisoner with. To see what content our account is entitled to, go to:

I could probably read that about a dozen times without having my question answered. My account has a password. No one who lacks my password or doesn't know my e-mail adress or plays with a different security key game could download anything from my account. Any package I buy online is available to me through both immediate download through my installed game or through manual download. Anything given to me at the time I buy the game automatically becomes part of my game package, meaning I've bought those special extras.
When neither the Blood Armor nor the Stone Prisoner is available for manual download I have to wonder at the logic. As long as they function through automatic download I will remain quiet about it, but Stone Prisoner does not even download.
I bought the game the way I did because I wanted these special offers included in my game.
As long what I am offered and what I actually get are two different things, I cannot trust your company or this network to deliver what I buy in the future.
I have no interest in further offers from your company until you fix this repeated problem with the add-on "Stone Prisoner".
Yes, I will tell my friends and my network about your failure at doing business.
Fear of copyright infringement is no excuse.
Please fix it quickly; I do love the game and I wish to play more.

QUESTION
When I try to utilize Dragon Age: Origins
content I've downloaded, I receive an error message indicating that I'm
unauthorized to do so. Why is this and what can I do to fix it?

ANSWER
Downloadable content for Dragon Age: Origins is associated with a BioWare/EA Online account. In order to use/play the content, you need to be logged in with the same account you used to purchase or redeem the content.
If you see an (Unauthorized) message next to the check box(es) in the Installed Content
tab, please log in with the same account that was originally authorized
to play the content. See the screenshot below for more information
about where this error is indicated.

EDIT: I go to login to the EA site for tech support; I sucessfully sign in. Then I click to create a new ticket and BAM! "Internal Server Error", logged back out. Very nice...
