I like to say that ME2 is a really good game. I've played it through twice now and I'm really disappointed on the second playthrough. I guess I better make things clear on why.

My first playthrough was on normal settings and finished the game at level 24. The game was very interesting and I enjoyed every minute of it. I got most of my weapons and armor upgraded along with the ship, but the odd thing is why do you even need to upgrade the ship. I mean things like better shield & guns. There's no missions that have anything to do with your ship.

The non inventory system is cool and I like it because you can't cheat like ME1 to get unlimited cash. Since there are no selling or buy back system. Although the first game focus on more items you can carry ME2 cut it out to let players enjoy a more action based game then the first. This is good on many levels and also means you won't be getting as many items like the first game. Which is fine to me.

I played as an Adept and used the N7 armor through the game. The only thing I did add was shoulder pads. The point I'm making is that there are not many armor & weapons in the game like the first one, and to some people that's a really bad thing.  My second playthrough was on insanity and I switched out armor for that. Let me tell people out there now. This game is not like the first one. The insanity level really is Insanity. Most of your enimies have berrier and all have armor. Which means you can't use any biotic on them until you take out the armor first. Easy right? Wrong! With the damage output you'll only have time to use Biotic or Tech before you're waiting for your shield to come back up or trying to recover so much HP back. On top of 5 plus enimies shooting at you at once they're all walking towards you getting closer to finsih you off. Actually that's all the enimes do on insanity settings since your teamates plus your powers won't even take out their berrier & armor before then. I find myself fighing 5 plus enimes alone with almost full berrier and armor 80% of my playthourgh on insanity. There's a few section of the game that will make you spend at least 2-3 hours getting through. I won't tell you where but you''ll see if you play the game on insanity. Hey it's insanity. I like this difficulty level but won't be playing it more then once. Oh, good luck to all you snipers out there I'll pray for you.

ME2 really favors automaic weapons over shotgun & sniper. Why? Well you'll start off with very low ammo for both and if you're playing insanity these weapons are almost useless. The heavy pistol is a better option in my opinion if you're playing on insanity settins. I never knew not having unlimit ammo would make this game this much fun, but having very low ammo for shotgun & sniper is a big diappointment. If you're playing this game on Vet or Hardcore its fine just don't try it on Insanity.

I noticed that ME2 is focus on let players decide to play one way or the other. Meaning you can't play nice and be ruthless like the first one. It is cool that they tie your Charm & Intimidate to your talents and other side effects that I won't mention. I was trying to play both ways on my first playthrough and realized I won't be able to max out both. It is hard enough just to try and max out one. In my opinion it's more rewarding for players that play with intimidation.

Side missions are reduced to doing things for your squard members. There are a few that's not tie to them but like I said very few. I guess they tried to limit the maps and missions to repeat. Is this good or bad? I am fine with the way things are on this aspect, but most of my friends hate it.

With all that said I think that ME2 is a good step, but in some areas not improved at all. This game is being held back for ME3 and it's sad to see. By the way after you finish the game and start a new you won't be able to keep what you think you will have. I can't really say much more then that. Dissappointing would cover it I think. If you're a fan on ME1 then this game is for you. Just won't be like the first one in a good way.

Thanks to Bioware for making this game and will be waiting patiently for ME3.
