I wasn't even realizing that one was supposed to carry over the character from the first part until I saw the banner in Mass Effect 2 launcher!!

Will it be possible any time in the future?

Linking EA account with Xbox Live account will do any good?

It's frustrating, but I'm also guilty, wanting to play this second part in all its PC glory.

Any feedback is welcome!

Sorry, not possible :(

They are both saved as different file types, looks like your gonna have to buy mass effect 1 and try and replicate your exact actions :P

Good luck

It's true. Completely different formats. I've tried everything, copying the files from the Xbox HDD to PC and then trying to import them into Mass Effect 2. Comparing the file from the Xbox to some ME1 savegames from a savegame database they have different file size (Xbox ones are 4 times the size of the PC ones), different headers and everything.
Well, I've tried everything I can, now I'm resigned and will use some of those savegames from a savegame database that most closely follow the actions of my character by the ME1 journal.
Thanks in any case, though I didn't believe the part of the different file types until I saw it by myself, :D. More the fool of me.
