I got the game on the release date and it has worked fine up until today...
I load up the second disk and as it loads, I get the Unreadable Disk Error message before I am shot back to the dashboard. I have cleared my HDD chash... I have done just about all I can except contact MS about the problem. All I got to ask is: Wtf? Game runs fine without any kind of an issue for two-three days and all of a sudden it now randomly just decides to stop working? If I honestly have to ditch my ME 2 saved game data and restart, I will... I would however like steps in order to correct this from ever happening again, or at least have Bioware/EA release an update to correct such problems. Thanks.

You could try installing the game to the hard drive. I got a disc read error once and decided to install to the hard drive and haven't had a problem since. If that fails, you could always rent the game and install it with those discs. I had a friend who had a cracked Modern Warfare 2 disc that wouldn't play anymore. He rented the game and installed it to the hard drive. The cracked disc was readable enough to let him play off of the installed-to-hard-drive game.

I never really bothered to install disk games to my HDD - does it really prevent annoying problems like read errors from happening or what? If it does, I'll go ahead and do it.

Ive got the same problem, Ive read that MS put out a patch that accidently makes some discs unreadable. So im not sure if its the MS or Bioware. I got the release date game as well. But when i talked to my Ex, (shes got ME2 but not the release date one) she tells me hers works fine. What I want to know is could Bioware or EA just send me a new 2nd disk. I dont want to have to go out and buy a whole new game just for one perfectly fine disc. Also, how are you going to install to the harddrive when the 360 cant even read the disk? Answer me that? Ive seen ppls telling everyone to do that, How my friend? Its not the disc drive either, cuz other games work perfectly fine.

If you are seriously considering wanting to request a replacement disc then you had best check the warranty info which is usually found in the back of the manual. Depending whether or not it's still within the warranty period and other such legal considerations it is possible to get a replacement from the publisher.

In the UK the disc replacement service is still available, pending stock availability, but after the 90 day warranty you do get charged a fee. (However, the fee is likely to be more than actually purchasing ME2 new given the prices I have seen.) Like I mentioned above, check the manual for what is available in your region.
