The Collector ship mission was also distinctly creepy. You wander around, knowing that there's got to be something here, but the place is all empty and the music in the background is eerie.
Oddly enough, I don't recall finding the Kelly scene very creepy. I thought her shriek sounded wrong for the situation, which kind of killed the moment for me.
Of course, watching her get goopified was kind of gross.

i always thought that the husks noises were made by armpit farts, actuall i thought about it while they moaned and i started laughing in the middle of a tense fightConall Cameron wrote...
The N7 mission with the cave full'o'husks; listening to their moaning and wailing was esp. creepy late at night in a dark room.
In fact ME2 husks in general are creepy as hell. I approve 1000%

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that sounded way too forward and not at all sensitive.

Wow... If you were that creeped out by Sovereign then you obviously haven't played Dead Space.RazielStar wrote...
ME 2 had some great creepy moments, most of which have been mentioned. What really twisted my stomach was at the end when the Collector General said "Releasing Control". I knew something was wrong with the way he talked, but it didn't occur to me that Harbinger (I had thought that was just the name of a possessed collector) was in direct control of the general the whole time. That coupled with seeing the Reaper fleet on the move still chills me.
Haven't been that freaked out since the first game when Sovereign speaks to you, it's voice and learning that it IS the ship made me wanna turn off the system.
I beat Dead Space just fine, I think they really dropped the ball by making too many jump scares and not enough build up. It was still a really fun game, it just could have been much more. The Video Comics for Dead Space were much creepier.
And how was Sovereign not chilling?

My creepiest moment was when the collectors were collecting people from the normandy. It gave me a vibe that i got when i played Prey back in 06. Cant help but notice that Bioware got some influences from there, which i liked.
Also the first mission when veetor shows shepard the video of the collectors. Soon as it pauses and zooms in I knew i was going to be in for one hell of a dark ride.

I love Tali and all, but since my Shep was Renegade as hell, when he says that all full of lust...with blazing red eyes...Surprised Tali didn't start shaking...
JK of course, I love Tali and Talimance

Dude, I know. It was like Shepard was suddenly some kind of pimp or something. Sounded very... predatorial. Just not right at all. That said, Mark Meer has improved like five billion percent from the first game. That was one of the only lines that really seemed off to me.

I was gonna say this...but couldn't remember the quote. I think what makes it so powerful is the fact that most of the deaths in ME 2 are offscreened, or done in a way that nullifies it. In this audio clip you hear her get gunned down before she can even finish saying "Mommy loves you very much." The tone and urgency are just awesome too. Very skilled voice actors in this game.

And the vids of the Cerberus people were pretty sweet. I love the fact that he called it a god. "Even dead gods can dream."
Yeah, pretty much. I remember first time I played ME1 and my dad was in the vicinity, he listened in on the dialogue and when it was done he said, "I think you were talking to a GOD." Fun stuff.

Any "I want to get to know you" conversation with Legion. It really puts you in perspective on how you should not screw with the real geth.
No kidding. The "Heretic" geth we've been fighting was LESS than 5% of their total force?! Thats insane!

Well you also gotta remember that when Legion refers to the Geth he means all the "programs" that make up the Geth, for example, Legion himself is 1183 Geth, but one "mobile platform" the average Geth is 100 "programs" but one "mobile platform"
So those numbers are not proportionate to the physical threat they represent.
