The quest was never starting, so someone finally suggested to delete the folder from My Documents, and to let it redownload.

I did that, and now of course the damn thing sits in "available content", and won't ever download. My redeemed codes page says I have it redeemed.

Why is this process so bloody irritating?

aye I'm having the same problem and everything Ive tired hasn't worked at all. any ideas on how to fix this?

You've logged into the game after resetting your My Docs folder? by removing the folder, it would have forgotten your login.
