Alright, so I've got two classes that interest me, and I'm thinking of playing the game a second time on Hardcore/Insanity with one of these two classes. Which one would be more effective and more fun do you think? I'm curious cause I've heard Adept is like the suck on harder difficulties and yet I've heard the same about Vanguard's, and I'm on Hardcore on my first playthrough as a Vanguard and I haven't had too much trouble, especially with Charge. So which would be more fun and do more damage to people in general? Adept or Infiltrator?

Well, Vanguard is my main class, but I love playing as Adept as well. I think Adept on Hardcore is very doable. Make sure you always have a good squad with you, though.

Infiltrator, unless you really like warp. I'm guessing it's a bigger challenge to use the adept, but the infiltrator is probably more effective.

I would pick the Infiltrator, sniper rifle + incinerate seems to be the way to go.



I am playing an imported ME1 Adept on Insane. Biotics, with some singular exceptions, appears to under perform in comparison to the Infiltrator's tool bag from all reports.

I would probably choose Infiltrator. I wanted to complete the game on Insanity on the first run and chose Adept. I got my arse kicked pretty bad throughtout the game and up to date. Adepts are not as good as on ME1. Don't get me wrong, I'm still advancing on the game and passing but it's probably the hardest one to use in Insanity (that's my personal opinion).

I'm continuing my Infiltrator form ME1 right now and love the class. Mainly because I love the sniper rifles in both games, but I also like some of the tech perks. Tactical Cloak, Incinerate and AI Hacking are all fun to use.

Yes I'm leaning toward Infiltrator myself. Probably going to have Reave as my specialty power, to compliment my high amount of damage. Personally I love sniping so, I think it would be perfect for someone whose never picked up a sniper in ME1 or 2 so far.

I had a huge amount of fun playing as an infiltrator. Made even Insanity a great experience!

I'm currently playing through Insanity with an Adept (first time playing an Adept) and at first it was really frustrating, but once I got a few levels and pimped out my Warp it is pretty fun! =P
