Someone here main a thread about it but I don't know why. Some people thought it was a glitch... well it's not. I saw it. For a split second when the reaper falls you see his face. It was... creeepy....

I saw it, still think its a glitch though, there were quite a few moments like that not that i can remember them all, sort of like the garrus loyalty quest where everything starts getting blurry but i dont think that ones a glitch.

Okay, I'll try to get it by tonight. Will have to go through the last level again though... I'll be recording a video to make sure I capture it.
Hell, I'll get started right now.
PS: I got the Garrus loyalty one too, but then again, the picture of them walking into the doorway was the scene just before this. We don't even see the illusive man except for when he's on that hologram.

I saw this too. Got a big WTF!? from me. Maybe it's a clue that TIM can see through our eyes? I don't know, it was just weird.

I saw that myself. I thought the graphics were getting messed up. With what was happening is a classic overheat issue of a graphics gard with the blurries and stuff. But it went away right when the mission ended. So it has to be something with that mission.,

I got the video. I'll convert it into a gif. But seriously, wtf, why TIM, why there, why a graphical error.
And yeah lol, the illusive man is watching you masturbate. Totally a ceiling cat reference.

It's probably just something that has to help with the upcoming cutscene.
I remember in Halo 3, if you started one of the levels in the video mode, then restarted it right at the beginning, you'd end up in the ship that was shown in the cutscene right before it.

I see TIM himself popup character sheet style right before the sun loads in his final scene. I think it's just an error

I don't think it's an error. I think TIM somehow had access to systems on that base and could see what we were doing to the reaper.

It's a glitch. Same weird crap happens on Garrus's loyalty mission.

I want to say it's a glitch... It cuts into the background too roughly. I think if it were really story related and important it would be a lot smoother, and more subtle then giant TIM popping in like ceiling cat.
Though I was wondering, how does he know to call you just as you're deciding whether or not to blow up the station? I mean, aren't you at the galactic core, hundreds of thousands of light years away from the other relays? I know he has been able to watch your actions, but how did he get intel on that so quickly?
i smell a conspiracy theory!

I've specifically searched for this thread because I saw it too and wondered if it was a glitch or hinted at something much more dark and intriguing. Have to say I hoped very much it was the latter.
I did wonder if The Illusive Man had secretly done a 'Fantastic Journey' on the Normandy, miniaturizing it somehow and had put us all in a tiny weeny universe-in-a-box, where he then observed all the action through a small hole in the ceiling.
I mean let’s face it, The Illusive Man definitely has some major megalomania issues to work out so maybe he’s just amusing himself or getting some ‘mwah-ha-ha’ practice in whilst waiting to take over the real thing.
Also, by the end of the game, I don’t appear to have travelled back through the Omega 4 Relay, so presumably I’m still in the box? Right?
I hope that it’s something like that anyway.

Is it really a glitch?
I put it to Messrs Bioware & Sons, Purveyors of Fine Games since 1995.
Please, I need to know!
