I was attemmpting to redeem my cerberus code when i was informed i was not old enough to purchase the content. So after researching i found that you have to promote your child account, made sense i had one, since i made it was i was younger. Went into account management and found that it was not an option. So obviously it still thinks i am too young. Which is wierd because all of my family are over the legal age.

Is there anything i can do?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

my son is to young to,but we just deleted his gamertag and I made him a new one with one of my email addy's,there should be a parent permission slip or something like that, because he almost missed out of all Dragon Age stuff to,so now my boy is 19 LOL.

So I'd have to delete my gamer tag then pay 100 bucks for a new xbox live service to get it working? Is there any other way? seems a bit too extreme

just setup a silver account, have your dad set it up,not sure how old you are,but I had to set all of it up for my son,and it did not cost me anything at all.

That option doesn't appear on either the xbox or the xbox.com site

I am having the same issue,i never had a child account as far as i know.

Also,28 years old currently.I don't have the promote account option either.

I have gotten dlc intended for 15+ before, without issue.

Check that your birthdate is correct on the Live Accounts page

You'll need to contact MS directly in this case as it's a bug at their end, nothing to do with Bioware.

Im not so sure its directly related to MS rather than the Cerberus network,i said, already have been getting dlc, (GTA - Lost and the damned,Shadow Complex)both of which are 15+.

The original poster's problem however, is down to his account being a child account even though he is 20, and has the correct DoB on his account details.

Yes, many people are having DLC bugs unrelated to this, but in this individual's case, if he can't get Live to recognise he's old enough for a full account, he needs to take it up with MS.

No idea how to fix your specific problem, but one option would be to create a new gamertag on your Xbox, sign it up to silver and use it to download the DLC. Ideally this should allow all accounts on your Xbox to access the DLC but the actual purchase would be linked to the new account you made - which could be problematic later on. The other concern is that some people have had issues getting DLC to work on their other accounts or without being online. Something to consider though.

for Cephalik you should see if you are allowed to download m15 trailers for games, those should be free, but also restricted if your xbox account is child restricted.

if you can get age restricted content other than off the Cerberus Network i would think the issue is related to the Cerberus network or perhaps the EA network in someway.

So apart from us talking about it,how do we get attention to this matter? I know there is a lot of issues currently.

I've noted it among the DLC bugs in my buglist. Hopefully we can get their attention.

Depending on how old the child is, some of the languages in the game is too mature for kids. Then there are the soft core love scenes.

Yeah, but if his XBox Live and Bioware/EA accounts both have him down as being 20, then I hardly think the DLC is "Too mature" for him.
