Helloes,

I'm new to the game and have been looking around the forums a bit, but I hope it's okay I go ahead and make a thread for all my questions.
I first started a warrior, but quickly rerolled rogue, since otherwise I couldn't see a spot open for a rogue in my group.

My rogue is now lvl 9, dw and hopefully gonna be assasin in the future. I focus mainly on dexterity, willpower and cunning, is that the right choice? and how should I balance it?

I use two daggers at the moment, but not sure if I should rather use a 1-h sword in main hand?

At the moment I have Alistair (tank), Morrigan (CC) and my dog in group. I am getting to a point where I'm having trouble keeping Alistair alive, and I've also learned that I shouldn't focus on constitution for him, which I have done :( So I want to add Wynne to my group for healing - perfect timing, as I've just arrived at the Circle of Magi, so I'm hoping I'll find her soon enough.

Obviously, I will then have to replace my dog in group, which for sentimental RP reasons I'm not happy about. But since I'm a crappy player, and I've already messed up on Alistair, given him the wrong points, there's no way around it. My question is; if I start the Circle of Magi quest, find Wynne, and replace her with my dog, can I get my dog back again later? Will it be at camp, so I can take him into group for easier stuff?

Hope someone can help me with my questions, and thanks in advance:happy:

Dexterity and cunning yes, willpower no. You're not gimped if you took some, but don't take any more. Stay with the two daggers, you'll attack faster and do much more damage in the long run with runes, poisons, and flaming/frost weapons etc. You can definitely switch Dog back in later. He'll stay in camp and you can swap him in and out whenever you want.

Also, at level 9 you haven't really ruined Alistair permanently.  Get his strength up for massive armor and give him lots of dexterity and he'll do fine.  Plus, there's lots of crowd control spells you can use to make him take less damage.  Use sleep, cone of cold, or mass paralysis.  If you're curious about how other people play, you could check the link in my signature.  Just be warned, some of the videos are definitely spoilers.

Thanks for the really quick reply :) I won't feel too bad about leaving Dog then. I might try and find time to go pick up some of the other npcs as well, so I can have them in camp.

Now back to game, will try and see if I can pick up on the damage I did to Alistair and get a proper tank out of him after all.

Thanks!
EDIT: thanks for link as well... will be huge help for me.
