So. Since there are already different mabari colour models in-game, I'm hoping it wouldn't be too difficult to edit a saved game or something to change what model is used.

Or does one of you savvy modders know an easier way to do this? I was sort of surprised not to find a mod on here or the nexus.

I wish that the look of your Mabari was randomized, or you got to chose out of a few, each with different stats.

It shouldn't be too hard... that is if you can find where the data for dog is stored. Then it should be a simple matter of redirecting it to use one of the 10 mabari looks instead of the one it is using. Otherwise you'd have to take the texture, throw it into a program like photoshop and colour it the way you want then put it back in...

There's a mod that does this already... you can change the 'dog' to be a wolf (white, black), black mabari..and a few others...

Oh AWESOME. I did a search for "Dog" and "mabari" on the nexus, but obviously those wouldn't snag that in the search. Thank you SO very much.

There is also a mod that makes the mabari more anatomically correct because in the vanilla game it was amputated by the devs for some reason. However, this mod received a lot of funny comments and I am not sure if it can still be found on the nexus.

Heh, yeah, as someone who has a male dog irl, it is a little noticeable when in-game doggie rolls around on his back. Doesn't bother me enormously though...not like werewolves becoming fully clothed humans does. <_<

One thing I wish they had made on the models for Dog...I wish the collars would show up in the game so we could see those lovely studded collars, some blood dripping off of them.

Wynne says she's going to make Dog a different color but she doesn't follow through. He doesn't seem too enthused, particularly not about the antlers.

First time I saw all the different Mabari in the battle scene I thought to myself WHY can't I customize Lucky to look like that? My favorite was the deep brown/red color.

i have fun putting the protective collar on him and having him wear it for a bit but then i feel bad for him and take it off lol
