that's just lazy talk... traditional gets old. it all depends on your commitment to make it work. if bioware had been more committed, rto's fix for the ps3 shouldn't have been a problem but they chose to fix the ps3 version last. which, for me as a ps3 owner, is a no-no.
Actually, to clarify, the PS3 version is in certification with Sony right now. It was developed concurrently, and was submitted for testing at the same time as Xbox 360. However, Sony has a different process than Microsoft, and so their process takes longer. This is not to point a finger and blame someone else, but to make you aware of the fact that we do consider the PS3 right along with other platforms. But that part of the release process is something that we don't have control over.

It was then later proved that they fixed the 360 version first, sent that out, then the PC and then the PS3 last. So now it's in certification again which is causing it to be late. Do you not see that they put PS3 on the lowest priority even knowing that their process is longer? It's Bioware and Bioware's fault alone that it's not out on time. They could have done the PC version first, followed by PS3 and then 360. The two console ones could have come at the same time if they timed it properly.

You didn' t see that they completely sidestepped the question? Yes, the content is in certification process, however what they did not tell you (or perhaps, did not pay attention to) was that the original one that was in certification, was pulled along with the 360 and PC version.
How many times does it have to be said that game content for all three platforms is developed on the PC, in the same toolset? If there is a problem in the game data, all three versions need to be fixed. Otherwise, there will be complaints about a bug that they knew about and didn't fix.

Well, there was that issue with the XBox 360 Title Update that needed dealt with, but that did not affect the DLC data for any platform; what is likely is that Bioware had some other stuff that they were wanting to make available that also needed certification so they didn't send the DLC until the other was ready.

thats just half of the story, cause 3 days earlier victor said:
"Once we were able to resolve the issue for 360 and delivered the second title update to MS for final certification then work began in earnest on the short hop to moving this across to PS3 and directing the test focus there. The nature of the issue was such that it required the same programmers and made more sense for that particular ‘nut’ to be cracked on the 360 first to really understand how to fix it once and for all, so this was not something we could do in parallel for both platforms."

to recap first he said: "Once we were able to resolve the issue for 360 and delivered the second title update to MS for final certification then work began in earnest on the short hop to moving this across to PS3 and directing the test focus there"... call me crazy but that's a contradiction. so its hard to blame sony when bioware can't tell what really IS happening.

ok honestly ppl I think it's safe to assume that we're all gamers here, but honestly every system and every company has to run exhaustive testing on a product b4 release. Hell look at the PC and the Diablo Franchise things have been delayed years just to fix bugs. If it is bugs that is holding up the process in getting the game out then would you want it with or with out the bugs regardless of how long it might take. And honestly you must realize that Microsoft is heavily invested in the Xbox and (obviously the computer) so some things are gonna happen more quickly when they've got similar processes.
In the end what really matters that we get it at the same time, or that they get it right the first time we get it.

Or he could be talking about two different, but related, elements needed; one is the DLC itself, the other is a PS3 titles update similar to the one that got fouled up on the XBox 360. The DLC very well could have been released by Bioware for certification by Microsoft and Sony at the same time, but as the qoute indicates, the title update could not; it is the title update certification that seems to be holding things up.

so from what everything i just read i guess none really know when exactly that RtO might come out. so i guess that all we PS3 owners can do is wait, i don't think me complaning about the problem will get anything done faster or better.

I bet thats what the guys down in Microsoft do to fix broken Xboxes, and then they make the owners pay outrageous prices for the repairs.thegreateski wrote...
