I don't know if i hate the gaynatzees or the smokenatzees more. Thankfully the smokenatzees are much more rare.

There are no insects in the Quarian homeworld so it is acceptable to believe that Earth is the only planet in the known Milky Way to have a plant that exhibits addictive qualities which can be packaged into conveniant pocket sizes. From the information that is given to us it doesn't look like the other planets have drugs outside of alchohol so I find it acceptable that other species find tobacco addicting like us.



You may ask "Their bodys are so different?" well aside from the physical and genetic level alot of species exhibits similiar qualities. Examples of this are the fact that the majority of species are bipedal, with the exception of the Turians and Quarians (maybe the Hanar) they can all eat the same food (differing quantiy of course) meaning that they have similiar digestive systems, and all known species besides the Volus breathes air meaning they have similiar respiratory systems as well.



Finally with the advances of medical science as of 2185 it is perfectly understandable that everyone is healthy (why else are their no fat people?) and people like The Illusive Man chain smoking without worrying about any negative after effects.

You know, you're right.  People who oppose smoking should stop speaking their mind.  People who smoke are obviously stupid beyond hope so it's in society's best interest to let them pursue whatever actions they choose which help expediate their removal from society.

Smoking is an idiot pesticide.  Non smokers shouldn't hate it.

Just because I can't inhale raid doesn't mean it's not useful at removing cockroaches and bedbugs.  Tobacco is the same way, except it works on human vermin.

So there goes the whole cancer has been eradicated in the future theory.



The only problem I have with the smoking in this game is that no one can do it right-- they're always sticking the cigarettes in the bottom of their chins or something like they can't manage to hit their mouths. No way they could pass a field sobriety test.

Aside from the somewhat odd cigar shoved in nose(?) of the Elcor, I think it's nice alien species have picked up horrible vices like myself.

I think that fat people weren't added for aesthetic reasons... but IMHO, I think fat dudes here and there would have added variety. Speaking of no fat people, I would love to see a fat asari. XD



I don't smoke. Don't care if you want to kill your lungs, that's your choice. It sent my mom to an early grave, and her smoking messed up my breathing for good - not that I had a choice.

Off topic, but the reason for no fat people in the Mass Effect Universe is simple. Same reason no kids and no females of certain species, that would require an additional character model to code.

I would be curious to know the nationality of the people against smokers on this topic, you may live under dictatorship?

If people want to smoke, fine, but they shouldn't expect society to bail them out once they suffer smoking related health complications.
