Is there one? The mini-game sucks a**, and I'll soon drop the game rather than waste my life scanning...

I would really appreciate help on this one - its really destroying the game for me.

Thanks!

Wrong forum.

Google I can not handle ME2 and need to cheat. There should be a few dozen cheat site that can help you out.

none yet, afaik. usually this is a convenience (control-J in BG/BG2) but the tedious and unchallenging/uninteresting nature of planning scanning makes it a necessity.

This is completely necessary. If I scan any more planets with this sloth-like mouse, I think my wrist will fall off. It would be great if for second playthough, I could magic resources into existence and not have to worry about spending hours scanning planets to get by.

You can find trainers fairly easy, but there should be a dev-console for debugging purposes, every BioWare game has one I believe.

As far as I'm aware, the console has been locked away. In Biogame / Config / PC / Cooked, there's mention of the key assignment but it doesn't work when pressed ingame.

I want access to things like the flycam from the first game and after two playthroughs, it would be nice if there was an option to switch a character from disloyal to loyal and vice versa so indulging curiousity doesn't take an entirely new playthrough. And yes, aside from Uranus probing, the scanning is terrible. All I can hear is the sound of my mouse scraping the desk.

I should invest in a mousepad.

I think the problem with mineral scanning is that you have to do too much of it. It's novel, but just not interesting enough to scrounge planet after planet for minerals. Either the upgrades shouldn't cost so much or the amount of minerals you pick up should be increased.

I think the way the scanning is done is brilliant, whoever thought of it should get a pat on the back for good use of imagination. But its no good for this game, its mindlessly tedious and i really dont want to run through a second third or fourth time, its like pointless farming in MMORPG'S.

ME1 was great for its playability even after you had finished it once but honestly i dont want to be wasting time scanning for resources, its bad enough trying to scrape up enough money to buy upgrades.

If you are importing an ME1 character, you could change amount of bonus minerals you get...

Hm. I'm on a first playthrough on my Vanguard and I started out with 52,000 of EACH mineral just from achievements from my first playthrough. Stick it out or go away.

Np but tell me how you feel when it is your second or third playthrough?

I didn't cheat on my first, but i find planet scanning so boring, it will be a gamebreaker on replaying the game. Which is sad, because I played ME1 a dozen times or more.

I'll definately need a resources cheat, I can get credits and stuff by doin fun things, but mineral mining and scanning........ick.

Why are some people trying to make the rest of us feel like scum? I've done the first playthrough and have literally an hour or two of my in game time just scanning planets. It's not interesting and it does nothing for my wrist. I can hardly enjoy the rest of my Mass Effect experience when scanning gives me RSI :-\\
I don't want to be punished in second and third playthroughs not having upgrades because planet scanning is soul destroying. I agree that it was a neat fix for the abhorrent mako and travelling across a million cookie cutter worlds, but it isn't any more interesting.
I'm playing Mass Effect for the story, not admirable, yet tedious game mechanics. Knowing a console command or a work around would be absolutely beautiful. And if the rest of you want to keep it pure and spend your lives planet scanning, be my guest >.<

There are working trainers. Yes, the scanning can be tedious, so I understand some people want to cheat. Don't hate on them, before asking your wrists for an opinion ;-D

PM me for a link, if you're too lazy to use Google. Yeah, that internet-searching-minigame can be tedious as well ;-D
