How many people hated Miranda

I'm wondering if a lot of the people who hate her so much didn't bother with her story.
Regardless, I look forward to seeing her in the Finale. If they bring back her and Garrus, I'll have used Garrus as a nonstop team member in all 3 games and replaced Ashley with her.

MerchantGOL, I enjoyed Miranda's character immensely for her attitude as well. I get sick of "wilting flower" types and Jack's tattoos were a turn-off for me (although I did enjoy her as a team-mate and ally).
Miranda wasn't a cheerleader but she was positive, uplifting and bad-ass. She was the most intelligent sounding teammate we had available (great voice-acting by Yvonne). In the end she blows off the Illusive Man and sides with you, if you choose to blow up the Collector Base. Add to that an incredible beauty (which, btw, is why she's the hot spy on Chuck - no sense in debating her attractiveness) and sleek, well balanced combat talents and you have a real winner.
I think these threads that pop up to bash characters like Allistair and Miranda are hilarious because I can just imagine the type of person who could dislike such amazing and likable characters. Filled with jealousy more than likely. Just my 2 cents.
"filled with Jelousy" ? WTF?
Any way shes not that hot, to fake too me, and liek i said she only blows off the Tim fi you bring her with you, that dosent really count
I dont like hypocrtical characters that are blind to whats right infrotn of there faces, i dotn like how you coudl never brign up "Akuze, The Rachni, The Creepers" or any thign with her,and if you coud shed probably stick her fingers in ehr ears like she did with jack
Except you could bring up the Rachni, the Husks, and the Creepers. (No Akuze though, which is an oversight.) And she claims that they're all essentially to make shock troops to protect human lifes.
You think this is hypocrisy, but I think of it as rationalizations that slowly crumble during the game. She likes Cerberus because it gave her a chance to really cut loose with her intellect and excel. Because she's loyal to it, she's inclined to forgive it some mistakes. Her handwaving that Jack's facility was a rogue cell is the real stretch--it's like she's saying, "Oh, that's some OTHER cerberus, not the one I know and love." (TIM's message afterward confirms this. But who knows if TIM is telling the truth?) By the end, when confronted with something truly horrifying for Cerberus she's clearly having second thoughts, even if you decide to keep the station.
...and I'm going to point out you just said you didn't like a video game character's appearance because it looks fake. By video game standards, Miranda is way more realistic then, say, Bayonetta, or anyone from Soulcalibur. (Though I admit that teeth should be the next thing bioware works on. Huge improvement with eyes this go-around, maybe teeth and mouth are the next thing to go.)

that dosent make her a good charcter thoght not in my eyes its sad that it took her that long to wake up
Bayonetta and the girls form Soulcal are set in unverses ment to be over the top and unrealistic
Mass effect is a Vison future grounded in realisim

I dislike Jack, Garrus, and Tali far more than Miranda though.

I like her design except for the heeled boots (wish I could have that hairdo for my Shepard, even though it's still not long enough). Had nothing against her facial features myself, and her VA was very good.

She spends her Hole loyaltiy mission Goign o nabout how she wanted to giv eher siter a normal life
when confronted with some one who turned out worse then any thing her sister could of turned into, she not only denies any and all blame caus eit would make her prescious Adoptive father figure look bad
she shows a complte and total lack of empathy

When confronted with evidence that the organization that saved her and gave her the resources to save her little sister may have been doing terrible things to other children, she uses the information you acquire at that site to explain to herself why the organization isn't to blame.
The facility went rogue, the records indicate they were hiding things from the Illusive Man. Miranda genuinely believes that Cerberus only does what is necessary to save humans, and this tidbit of info helps her deny Cerberus's responsibility in the act. That doesn't make her a hypocrite.
You don't know the extent to which TIM and Cerberus were involved in the experimentations that took place. And it's mentioned on multiple occasions that the sects of Cerberus operate completely independently from another. Miranda was in charge of the Lazarus project, she didn't know about or have any authority over any branch of Cerberus beyond her own.
