Yeah see that was where the part about ignoring logic comes in. Go back through the thread. Some of us have very calmly explained how your arguments are invalid. You keep ignoring them and whining about how 2 people called you a homophobe.

Now if you could calm down long enough to hold a civil conversation we might actually accomplish something resembling a proper debate. You seem to have no interest in a proper conversation though.

Now back to chuck.

I'm sorry debate and progressives in the same sentence is a oxymoron. If you do not agree with a progressive you a labeled a homophobic fascist and they will try to intimidate you by attempting to denigrate you into silence. If you rationalize with a progressive they will run away in a huff simply because logic is not as good as their ideals. The only true fascist in this thread are the liberal fascists ie: progressives.

Check it out brohim.

Middle segment:-

We're not saying that one approach is better than the other. In our
previous games, as we did in Jade Empire, as we did in KOTOR, as we did
in Baldur's Gate,
and many games before and in the future, we enable those kinds of
choices, whereas in Mass Effect it's more about Shepard as a defined
character with certain approaches and worldviews, and that's just who he
or she is. So we constrain the choice set somewhat, but enable more
tactical choices and enable a deeper, richer personality, because it's
more focused around defining one character, it's not as wide open. But
that's by choice.

I do:

IGN: Will there be gay relationships for the male Shepard? Here at
IGN we've heard a lot of positive feedback from the inclusion of gay
relationships in Dragon Age; compare that with the somewhat conspicuous
absence of them from the first Mass Effect, especially with the chance
for a lesbian relationship.

Ray Muzyka:
Here's how the games are different: Dragon Age is
a first person narrative, where you're taking on an origin and a role,
and you are that character at a fundamental level. It's fundamentally
about defining your character, including those kinds of concepts. In
Mass Effect it's more a third person narrative, where you have a
pre-defined character who is who he is, or she is. But it's not a
wide-open choice matrix. It's more choice on a tactical level with a
pre-defined character. So they're different types of narratives, and
that's intentional.

We're not saying that one approach is better than the other. In our
previous games, as we did in Jade Empire, as we did in KOTOR, as we did
in Baldur's Gate,
and many games before and in the future, we enable those kinds of
choices, whereas in Mass Effect it's more about Shepard as a defined
character with certain approaches and worldviews, and that's just who

tactical choices and enable a deeper, richer personality, because it's
more focused around defining one character, it's not as wide open. But
that's by choice.

It's first person versus third person narrative, and the types of
choices you get to make within that are related to that, whether you've
got a pre-defined character or a wide-open character. Some of our games
have been wide open, and some have been more constrained, and we'll
probably continue both kinds of character development in the future.

@jamesmoriarty123, I appreciate that you haven't been incredibly rude like all the other homophobes

howver I am done replying to you, and guys don't take the bait, just let him post, it ups our page count and keeps on top of the other forums.

Tensei you are a king among fools.  He's stating his argument nicely, and since you can't deal with it, you defer to you "just ignore him LALALA" response.

Yeah, upping your page count big deal.  Making our voices heard, bigger deal.

Your small clan of hundreds of ****** gamers isn't going to do squat, stop trying, you just look bad.

Point taken, however I'm just trying to avoid the eventual insult-war that will come from replying, I don't want to have to start this thread again. You know one person will say one thing, and then another and then another and it just spirals down from there. Like you and the insult you just threw. Image IPB

****** isn't an insult unless you want it to be.  Then it just sounds like you're embarassed of your sexuality.  It's short for homosexual.  That's the technical term.

I just hate how all of you are getting your panties up in a bunch over a damn ROMANCE that's NOT going to happen.

WHAT ABOUT THE REAPERS?

Christ, ME3 has so many variables due to ME2 that I'd be worried about that, not some damn ****** romance.

You guys are just sad.  Do you really need this that bad?

Oh BTW, have you probed Uranus yet? That is quality in-game gay content right there.

Yes you are. Just like you would be a racist if an interacial couple "going at it" made you uncomfortable.

Lol, the reasoning by these guys is hilarious. If something makes you uncomfortable you are a "insert brand here".
So a gay guy who doesnt want to watch a man and woman have sex is a bigot and a heterophobe? By your logic that is so. Have you actually heard yourself?

"does not want to watch" and "is completely repulsed by the concept of" are not the same thing. So you're uncomfortable with seeing homosexuals do it? Guess what, so am I. It seems different and strange to me. The difference is you seem to have this idea that you have some sort of right to not have it happen in your universe, and I live and let live. That's why you are a bigot and a homophobe.

Thanks.

Now, I hate to be thick, but I fail to see how this answers the question. I know what it implies, however public relations is always about something so that it can be spun in different ways. From this specific quote, it's hard to actually get a definitive answer to the question about Shepard's character.

I suspect this was more a dodge than anything. Which makes sense, since I doubt the founder would want to needlessly restraint or enforce certain characteristics that may impact the writing process.

It sounds like he gave an answer that could really go either way.

The article does not answer the question. It goes to say Shepard is PREDEFINED and it even mentions the different gender of Shepard. A predefined Shepard would not be able to have the option to romance a woman, being a woman, or a man.

Again, a typical progressive response. Rather than take on an alternative point of view you claim moral superiority. It doesn't get much more pathetic than that.
