To discuss implementing content into ME1 is just pointless. As hell. Especially if it alters characters on a fundamental level. Doesn't matter how much you talk about it. Won't happen. Thank God for small favours.

Ideally I would prefer that they simply unlocked the bisexual content that was in development for ME1 and 2, such as Kaidan/Tali/Thane.  That would flat-out satisfy everyone, and would take the least amount of time and effort for the ME team anyway.

Allow me to play devil's advocate here but clearly it wouldn't satisfy everyone. Moriarty isn't alone in his stance afterall.

I do agree that the toggle would be a lot of work. Especially if it only changed the dialogue of one new character.

Hendel then seems the most plausible solution.
-Already exists in the universe.
-We know he's not a stereotype.
-He can be made into good DLC and not just "thrown together to shut people up" DLC
-And as a DLC character people could either not download it or simply not recruit him.
(the latter because honestly I want a DLC pack to include more than just a character. Gimme gear! Thankfully all new squad members are optional.)

Like I said, they aren't gonna change ESTABLISHED characters. Why is it so hard for a couple of you to get it into your head that they characters are formed. They have histories, they are straight ffs. Going back and reimplementing content over 2 games just to make continuity in the 3rd? NEVER going to happen.

I don't even know how you would add it? A patch that you only download if you have both ME1 and ME2 installed? Doesn't strike me as very feasible.

Nautica, the others just don't get it. Hoping against hope for something that would turn away a SHEDLOAD of the fanbase. People have grown to know and love the characters as they are.

I think you're overestimating that a bit...

Also though, going around saying "nope not gonna happen, get over it" is a bit harsh and unnecessary. People know it's not going to happen but what's wrong with "dreaming"? They want these things because they fell in love(not literally) with these characters which means BioWare did an amazing job. It's not really hurting you to talk about it. That's why I think most people call you a troll, because you're so unapologetic in your views. There's -always- leway.

I suppose it's because of the constant "I think it should be this way" and "I want Bioware to make it this way" attitude to the current character set. Obviously I too cared about the characters as I played through and I don't want it all messed up.

Zaed can go and die. Just had to get that out there. and I agree with your thoughts on Hendel and also with more than just Characters for DLC. but we are getting gear tomorow.. Or tonight already? haven't checked.

Hm. Would you prefer it with an new character or with an existing one though?

I wonder if some gay DLC could incorporate meeting up with Kaiden right after the mission is over yet before ME3 takes place and starting a relationship.

That would be interesting if done correctly.

Maybe after the end game you attempt to (once again) warn the Council and they blow you off (not like that's anything new  ) and you run into Kaidan (if you saved him) or Ash. They tell you about some intell they found that could provide a small bit of more insight as to why the reapers want humanity and while the two of you are going on that mission (if you're not romancing them already) you can choose to romance them as either gender.

Of course my idea needs major tweaking to be pheasible but its a start. ^_^

Still a new character in 3 would be bah. I actually would prefer Kaiden but I suppose anyone would do the all male alien race would probably be implemented. So BioWare can fall back on their "Its not gay if its an alien." excuse. I just hope they're not too feminine that would suck.

Ideally I would prefer that they simply unlocked the bisexual content that was in development for ME1 and 2, such as Kaidan/Tali/Thane.  That would flat-out satisfy everyone, and would take the least amount of time and effort for the ME team anyway.

Barring that, if there were hypothetically plans for new content entirely like an expansion pack or something, yes I would still prefer the existing teammates, again for the reason that it just seems like less of a hassle to implement than coming up with whole new character designs and stories that may or may not end up working as well.

Barring both of those options?  Well, if Bioware wanted to take the time to come up with new characters specifically for the GLBT crowd, then why the hell not?  I'm sure not gonna complain, if that was a possibility. ^_^

Like I said, they aren't gonna change ESTABLISHED characters. Why is it so hard for a couple of you to get it into your head that they characters are formed. Oh come up, they're just hoping for it, not really expecting, but hoping and wishing, no harm in that

Yeah but a LOT of people would buy it too. They change up the romances to how they were planned, and add some other stuff they cut, I'm sure we'd ALL buy it for one reason or another, however sad or great that may be.

And here's to finding out in a few years that this trilogy is episode 4 5 and 6 of Shepard's tale! >.> (Yes I'm evil, I know)

It would change NOTHING for your interactions with those characters. Only those who choose to follow those interations. Simple enough.

I'm sorry if I got abrasive but I mean come on, they've already stated their wishes and hopes. Tehy aren't really furthering the debate here. Surely it's energy better spent on discussing an implementable optoin that would appease both sides?

To be perfectly honest I already spent 130 dollars on the two games. I can't see myself paying 300 for a box set of all three six years from now... I want BioWare to spend that money on a new series.

edit: especially since 6 years from now there will be an entire new gen of systems and the graphics will be even better than they are now.

Yes but look at the Tali thread(that was recently locked because it hit the page cap) They have nothing to fear but they sure don't stop. It's just something personal people do really.

And yes it would. As I said, their dialogue has already established they are straight. Not Bi. Straight. It's clear as crystal. 9 times out of 10, men who have loved women, are straight. Hate to break it to you, that's the facts. And turning all the male characters BI just throws any strong narrative out of the window.

Sigh...here to troll it up? Go read the last 5 pages and get with the ACTUAL debate. Whether you're on the front page or not, it make's little difference as there's only 15 people actively discussing the thread.

I'm going to agree with James on this one. As cool as a Kaidan, Thane, or Garrus romance would be for male Shepard, I don't think it would be fair to suddenly give them the possibility of being attracted to the same gender. New characters are fine, though.

I often feel like I'm one of the only people that preferred Ashley to Kaiden, but Liara Image IPB will always be my favorite.
Well her and Tali but Tali is CANNOT HAVE for FemSheps.
