The problem here (if you chose to see it that way) is that there has already been a precedent set with situations like this. Case in point: Garrus and Tali.
People wished and hoped for them as LIs, despite there being no indication of romantic interest from either of them in the first game. Those people voiced their concerns, gave their opinion, garnered support, made bigger threads, and with louder support, brought the subject to the attention of the devs, and didn't stop until the option was given to them.
The precedent has been set that, if you are loud enough, civil enough, and persistent enough, there's a chance your pleas might be heard.
It seems really late in the game to be altering Kaiden though. I mean, the strongest reason to have Kaiden as an option in the first place (so it could carry through all three games) isn't even possible. Best they add a new character, like what was planned with Thane.
Oh, I agree with that much. I feel like it may be too late for Kaiden lovers, unfortunately. Unless Bioware works the "unrequited love" angle with Kaiden (similar to how Tali was handled in this game), I feel as though that ship has sailed.
I was mainly responding to the "Stop whining" and " Isn't your energy better spent elsewhere?" comments, suggesting that persistance is required in this debate for any progress to be made.
