I don't know why they did that to be honest.  Perhaps so that Hale and Meer could reference each other to make sure that both Shepards had similar voice acting (in terms of tone, inflection etc) and were not wildly different?

But neither Kaidan or Ashley were planned to be bisexual I'm certain..

I don’t want to have the option to have a gay shep, but I’m not gay.
If there was a large community of gay people playing the game then I suppose it makes sense, but I don’t think there is.

The other benefit of her insanity (oh.. the blessed blessed irony of it all) is that I think it pretty much killed most of the "video games are evil! DOOM!!!" stories.

Full frontal male nudity in a game (and... geeeeuh that was aweful) never made a single headline that I can remember.

hmmm... but weren't the audio files then included in the programming? I get having the VA's work together and even make recordings so that they could compare notes. but that doesn't explain including those files, which are basically just reference for the VA's and wouldn't even need to be given to the programmers.

The only logical reason to include them is because they serve a purpose in the game itself.

There was a post on the old board that said something along those lines, but I can't remember who wrote it.  It makes sense though when you think about it.

Anyway, just because the devs said they didn't have enough time to add M/M, doesn't mean they would have made Kaidan bi, as he was primarily intended for FemShep.

 I don't see why male Shepard couldn't pursue other males.  It's certainly strange that you can be a gay female but not a gay male in the same game.

And why does everyone assume gay people are the only ones who would play the gay romances? 

Heck DA is one of my favorite games and the first romance I did (and indeed the one I do most of the time) is the gay Zevran romance.

hehe speaking of DA, ironicly enough, is one of my favorite games.

Before starting to read this thread i didnt even know DA had homosexual romance options! XD

Im sure ME3 would be quite similar in that respect, unless someone is interested in going that route it would be undetected by someone who is playing the other side of the field.

Gays are people that we must accept (legally and morally).

It's up to the developers to do what is right. From a morally social perspective, it is vital to implement male homosexuality into the game.
