Oh, I forgot that everyone that isn't a straight white male is highly inferior and weak.

I never said he was white, only straight...

Yes but DAO was a different game... DAO was a classic style RPG game.. There was more conversation options and more choices and stuff... ME doesn't really compare to DAO, cause in DAO you are your OWN char right from the start where as with Shepard.. There is basically two chars.. Good guy or ****... None of the character choices is gay

None of the character choices in Dragon Age Origins are gay <_<..  You seem to be under the dillusion that gays have to be some limp wristed poor excuse for a man.. When to my knowledge I didn't come across anything on the Dragon Age Origins that bordered on being gay.. Furthermore dialogue choices are pretty negligient between the two, I would argue that Mass Effect 2 in my mind had more meaningful choices often times.

Don't see why not, Dragon Age Origins had that option afterall.

Dragon Age =/= Mass Effect

Do tell me why there wouldn't be a gay relationship in Mass Effect as opposed to Dragon Age Origins.. Both are made by the same company, both were mass marketed on multiple platforms (even more then Mass Effect)..  Why do people care about this request to begin with? Thats whats bothering me, are people this bigoted or are they just trolling?

1. I don't care if there was a gay relationship
2. DIFFERENT teams made DAO and Mass Effect
3. DAO is NOT as POPULAR as Mass Effect

When you were talking to the Elf char, forgot hsi name, there was many "gay" choices.

One of the meanest and most feared defensive linemen came out to say he was gay when he finally retired like 5 years back or so.. Being gay doesn't some how mean you are a sissy, there are gays in the US military that are amazing soldiers..    Though I am not gay myself, I find the ignorance and overall bigotry of this thread hilarious..

Yes that is true, and i agree.. Nevertheless the gay community is generally seen as sissy.. The game has to be fun for everyone, and not just either tolerant people or homosexuals. I dont like it that way but that is just how things are... but seriously.. think about it, Shepard + Jacob -.-

Who cares?  What you think is gross maybe attractive to some one else.. Furthermore there are lesbian relationships within Mass Effect 2 already....  Furthermore who cares? No one would force you down that choice, just like no one is forcing you to shoot every innocent person in the head, its called choices.. People need to seriously grow up, they are taking this entirely too seriously when it seems like a pretty trivial request..

"None of the character choices is gay." People keep saying that, which is as ridiculous and inaccurate now as it was the first time.

One of the character choices is being a gay woman.  How is it that people keep ignoring that?

The OP said it would be simple, lol. Aside from the reams of extra dialogue that would need recording.

Considering the fact that they recorded all the same sex romance dialogue in the first game already?  Evidently there wouldn't be any extra dialogue that needs recording.

.. Yes thats because <drum roll> he was the single GAY choice in the game for a relationship..  Go figure you have to have a relationship dialogue with the one character the main character could have a gay relationship.. I personally never bothered to go much into depth because I was never interested in that sort of thing..

They took it out because they didn't want Kaiden to be bisexual. Whats wrong with that?

On a separate note, I'm pretty sure the gay Alistair/Morrigan camp isn't meant to be taken that seriously, and they themselves know it. For every one person lamenting that those characters aren't same-sex options, there's a dozen more praising DA: O for its inclusion and acknowledgment of gay romance.

I did in fact want to romance Morrigan. I hated and despised her and at the same time wanted to make sweet love to her. Anyway, including Leliana was very awesome. In fact, I found the Leliana romance to be very, very nicely implemented. You had to basically push her into admitting that she has a thing going on for women including you by being very obvious about your curiosity. That's the way I could imagine it in ME as well. That way no one could complain about it anyway. Don't select the "I kind of fancy you, you know?" options and you can stay friends.

Not sure what you're talking about.  The poster claimed that it would be difficult to implement, because of all the new dialogue that would need to be recorded.  I showed that it wasn't true, because all the dialogue was recorded for the first game, and I'll bet you actual money that it was for the second as well..

Why is it wrong for people to not wanting gay stuff in their games.. Some people are seriously disgusted by backdoor penetration, and that is why ME does NOT have it in their game. And as someone before said, ME is more popular than DAO

I have a feeling that some people have a mental wall between DA:O and ME2, because of combat style and popularity. You do realize that that is just the old "dumbed down for shooters/casual gamers" tirade, but from the other side, right?

(I'm pretty sure the devs intended Liara to be female, and pansexual. "Monogendered" does not mean they have *no* gender, it means they have *one*. "Woman" refers to the gender identity of human females as opposed to human males--as such, she is not one. But she *is* female. Google "Brahminy blindsnake"--that a species reproduces asexually doesn't mean that they are asexual. So yeah, there's f/f, but no m/m.)

Finally, the characters can be whatever they want them to. Kaiden was not bisexual because of time constraints. That was confirmed by the devs. There's footage on Youtube proving that maleShep/Thane dialogue is recorded, but likely cut. And I doubt anyone is so specific that they *demand* Jacob or *demand* Morrigan. Most just want a option.

I see but lesbian relationships like in the first is alright?  Furthermore its called choice making, people may be disgusted with the character shooting innocent people in the head cold-blooded..  A far more serious thing if we were to objectively say so, but this is a GAME of choice.. No one is choosing to go down that path..  Grow up and understand that,  really couldn't care less if its in the game or not.. Its just the bigotry and hypocrisy disgusts me..

No one chose you to have Zevron with you.. Deal with it.. He is not a important character to have with you, just like how I don't like Morigan that much doesn't make me complain to the developers on it.. It seems like you are seriously homophobic.

If people are disgusted by shooting people they probably shouldn't but a shooting game, it makes sense right? And if people wants to see backdoor penetration, they buy porn games cheap from russia..

If they are seriously disgusted by it, they can choose not to do it.  What's the problem here?  Just having the option of being gay will force you against your will to choose all the gay dialogue options?  I highly doubt that.

What does popularity have to do with it?  The more popular something is, the more exclusionary it has to be?  That's ridiculous.

I'm homophobic yet I have gay and lesbian friends. Cool story bro.

Sounds like you just hate people who disagree with your OPINION
