You know, what people are asking for here, is not gay sex.

The only people who have brought up sex are the people bashing the ones who support this thread.

What is being asked for is male/male and female/female (i dont think a female can "backdoor" anyone without specialized devices anyway 0.o) romance, and love.

I love the game how it is too, this game blows most others out of the water. But just because i love something doesnt mean there isnt room for improvment.

Problem is that you are comparing people and I am comparing demographics. 

You as a gay person (which I have all the respect in the world for) are just as likely to be into Sci Fi, gaming and FPS as me as a straight person.

But the gay demographic has not shown itself to be as into these things as the straight demographic.  In the same way the straight demographic has not shown itself to be into fashion as much as the gay demographic, whilst I am heavily into it and you may not be.

Its about percentages.  If you do a poll of gay people and ask them how many play sci fi space shooters, then do a poll of straight people with the same question, of course you would find more people, but also probably a bigger percentage of the straight people.

Why?  Probably down to culture.  But individually, a gay person is no more or less likely to enjoy things a straight person does and vice versa.

Ok Justin2k, let's talk demographics. First of all where do you get your figures from - please be so good as to include your sources when making the claim that the "gay demographic" is not as interested in Sci-Fi, RPG, FPS, etc. Secondly, support for same-sex romance is not purely a homosexual issue - many heterosexual men and women (myself included) do not only have no problems with same-sex romance in a game but would *actively welcome* it for the additional options (and replayability) that this would bring.

ME2 revolves around building relationships with your crew (for better or for worse, I know - I've played it) - there is no reason that in a *game*, someone's maleshep or femshep should not be able to romance any love interest that the developers have cared to include. And there's also no reason to, in a single-player game where one's choices do not affect anyone else's, to discriminate against gamers who want to play *their* Shepard the way they'd like to.

 He's getting the figures straight from his ass, eating them, then throwing them up again for all the world to see. He's just reciting dogma he's heard since he was 5 years old. Being gay is natural, as is being straight. It's called human sexuality. But he doesn't want to debate this, he can't see that a ****ing option in a video game isn't that big of a deal

They are not unheard of, i know a few M rated games have parental options to turn off blood or swearing in case said parental unit who is over the age of 18 has the children units running around and dont want their kid hearing the antagonist yelling "**** you with a rusty spork!" or seeing someones head popping cleanly off and spraying blood everywhere

No Gay Shepard. Will cause too much controversy and make the game look bad. Humanity isn't ready for a game like that. If you tell me "Well, this game had it." Then i've never heard of it, which means its un-popular and not in the spotlight like Mass Effect is. Here here! I want my manly man romance with Kaiden. The sexual tension is there between the two of them! I want it!

If they can allow the romance between female Shepard and Liara, and female Shepard and Kelly, I don't see why there is no male option. I still love the series without it, but it would make me happy to have it in there.

There was controversy with the romance scenes in general with ME1, (gotta love FOX news), and it will happen again in the future. Controversy shouldn't be the reason something is or isn't done.

I never understood that. Who the hell would CHOOSE to be gay? Choose to be labeled as abnormal and almost universally hated? Who would choose to deal with the fact that you're different than anyone else? Who the hell would honestly choose that?

What's ironic is that the same thing could be said for straight people. It's a fetish, it's a kick, it's an ultimate BDSM pedophical high. You are so full of ****. And people are born gay. LOL but if BioWare was to implement that it would look pretty silly about how they said "No" to the language filter because of their vision of the game. So you CAN sheild people from "teh gay" but not from language that they might not want small children to hear Lol wut?

I was just stating to (someone a few pages ago) who thought a parental control filter on an M rated game was crazy talk, it was just a lesson on gaming options

Though i personally would prefer the language filter option on ME3 personally, i love the game but i dont think anything is really added by people calling Shep an SOB so often (yah i play renegade) lol

Being gay is just a trend.  You may "feel" like you are born gay, but its something you've conditioned yourself to as a result of the media and things around you.  It comes down to sex simply and noone has ever been able to prove otherwise.
