I don't see what the huge problem is with having same-sex romances, if you don't want them, no one would be forcing you to play them. This is an RPG (an action-RPG, but still an RPG), and that means choices, like choosing who you romance.
For me it's a simple matter. I'm tired to see people demanding insistently that writers and developers bend over twice to tailor the game around their minority tastes.
Just look at how many absolutely abysmal and badly written token gay characters there are in mainstream media. Writing that kind of characters and make them believable and enjoyable and not a stupid "Will & Grace" stereotype is NOT easy, and I'd much rather not see any shoehorned into Mass Effect just for the sake of appeasing a vocal minority of whiners.
With the added effect of diverting resources that could and should be used in making the game better for the majority of players.
Except right now some people are being shoehorned into a character they don't want to play, which I would imagine is rather annoying in a game that otherwise prides itself on choices.
If one doesn't want to play a character because he's not gay, the problem is much deeper, and that person is quite shallow in his views.

If they refuse to give us an answer,
then we have every right to continue to ask for one. Considering this
is one of the most accessible outlets for voicing opinion, I don't
really see any other way to do so.
As far as I'm concerned, it's my responsibility
to post information that I wish to address with the company. It isn't
any more spam than the tons of topics on "Where iz dah DLCs they
promized?!," or "Dis izn't an RpG!," or "Ammo?! wtf?!"
So, if you don't like it, don't read it. Get used to it.
Actually you might want to learn some basic netiquette before posting in a public forum. A very basic rule says that when a thread it's closed it should not be reopened. It's rude and disrespectful, and yes. It's spam.
And no, it's not your
responsibility to rudely scream over and over when it's quite evident that Bioware has no intention of responding such a specific question so early in development. You're in no place to demand it. Simple as that.

Is telling somebody to keep their opinions to themselves insulting? Yes it is.
Your opinion has been voiced, a lot and repeatedly (always by the same people, of course). Stating it further simply turns it into spam.
