We already have overpopulation. Biologicaly speaking homosexuallity could possibly be the answer to overpopulation of a species. Sure, not in all instances and I am sure psychological and socialogical factors are a part of it as well (I should know, I like men).

I don't claim to know when I knew I liked men, but I can claim that I have never been attracted to women. Sure I consider some woman to be very attractive that, if I were straight, I would make a move on them.

One thing I never understood: why are there so many feminine gay males? I never understood it. I like men and therefore I like men who are MEN. Manly, tough. A female friend of mind would try to convince me to date any gay men she knew, all of whom were terribly feminine. Its just... UCK.

Shepard is a manly man, and he deserves his romance with Kaiden ha ha. I can't be the only person who notices the tension.

Problem is that you are comparing people and I am comparing demographics. 

You as a gay person (which I have all the respect in the world for) are just as likely to be into Sci Fi, gaming and FPS as me as a straight person.

But the gay demographic has not shown itself to be as into these things as the straight demographic.  In the same way the straight demographic has not shown itself to be into fashion as much as the gay demographic, whilst I am heavily into it and you may not be.

Its about percentages.  If you do a poll of gay people and ask them how many play sci fi space shooters, then do a poll of straight people with the same question, of course you would find more people, but also probably a bigger percentage of the straight people.

Why?  Probably down to culture.  But individually, a gay person is no more or less likely to enjoy things a straight person does and vice versa.

I think this is another reason some people don't throw in their two cents, at least if their opinino favors something similiar to mine.

They are afraid of being called gay .  Let me point I am a straight male, and am still fiercely defending in what I believe. 

The problem I have with dempgraphics and polls is that many of them are taken with cultural biasts in mine, and many are not acruate no mattter how much you want to think they are.

Interviewing 1,359 people of group A in place 1 Doesn't really give you a good idea of the 100,000 people in group A living in place 2.  That is one of the biggest problems sociologly faces in todays fields.  Why many researches like to branch and stem away from polls and survies these days because of how grossly inacruate they are.

What does it matter? It can be natural, or a choice...It doesnt matter (i dont think its a choice personally but thats another thing all together) The people like what they like. You should accept that, even if you think it is wrong.

Reading this thread honestly makes me want to cry at times at how...damn I can't even find the right word. I thought there was some civil discussion going on part way through and that made me happy, but now to have it suddenly derail once again? 

And i'll just leave this here, because so far this is all I seem to be hearing- I think, in some sense, it sums the arguements up well to a degree- of course please take it with a hint of salt and satire Just a bit of fun.

Me having consensual sex with a grown man is NOT the same as some 50 year old trying to have sex with a 3 year old girl. Don't even equate the two. Nature's way is constantly changing, it's called natural occurence. The world isn't static like you, things adapt and are formed to take in new ways of life

The big problem with this statement is that being 'gay' isn't new.  If you really want to learn about the history of humans coming together sexually just take a look at Ancient Greece.  Yes, many Spartans took male lovers, and yes many Samuari did the same.  

Throughout all human history it is there, it isn't that it has just started or become, people are just more aware.

Attraction to same sex is also found within animals that have no purpose and can't not follow trends humans set forth.  So before you claim evidence for a falsity you claim, look for the eviedences that supports your theory.

Something with a deep storyline...

Kichiku Megane has a lot of rape in it but its one of the best BL games out there. (sadly its not in english so you'll have to use ATLAS to translate it. But its sooooo worth it.) Sexy doesn't begin to describe it.

To all the talk about how a gay option is impossible because there's a canon Shep who is a straight white male... I would draw everyone's attention to Mass Effect Redemption.

Canon is something that can only be set by writers and creators. ME:R is written by the head writers of the game.

These head writers, through two issues of the comic, have been EXTREMLY careful not to use any gender specific pronouns when refering to Shepard. "Your commander" "your friend" "The commander" "Shepard" and others which i can't mention because they could be seen as spoilers. Not once does a single person in the comic refer to Shep as "he".

So... The only canon Shepard is *your* Shepard. The one each and every person chooses to play whether that shep is male, female, spacer, colonist, black, white, bald, blonde, whatever. That is canon shep as established by the writers themselves.

"Talking" on the internet is pointless. IF there was any reason to believe that the company was actually reading these threads instead of avoiding them (and understandably so) - then, there would be a reason.

The only way to affect change - is to cease purchasing their products. When their profit margin is hit - they'll have only themselves to blame.

Has it come to this point? Hardly - though it IS a trilogy - it is one storyline. I will be cautious before purchasing products in the future from Bioware - I'm not paying for content geared toward other people -when I am excluded from that content.

Its very similar actually if you are talking about being attracted to rather than actually doing something about it.  

There is no proof that you being attracted to men is any different than a man who is attracted to a 3 year old.  Both are unnatural.

Being gay used to be illegal much like paeodophilia.  It is only recently that it has been accepted.   You should be happy at that.  There will never be equality, there is far too few of you.  And if you  did have equality you would probably invent another orientation/culture to make you stand out.

If everyone in the world was gay, the current gays would most likely be straight.   Why do you think the majority of gay people are attention seeking over the top people?  You want to stand out, you want to be the minority.  Its a choice not a natural part of life.

Newcomplex - it isn't a matter of literally not reading.

It's a matter of

1) These threads draw bigots like moths to a flame.

2) Anything being said rational (for or against) is being washed away by bigots and those that are defending themselves.

3) After nearly a dozen such threads - there has been no "Opinion" by which to gauge Bioware's impression of our response to their decision.
