I mentioned somewhere that I wouldn't mind being able to romance Garrus because of his and Shepards brotherly love, but to be honest it would be too akward to romance him. It would be too strange because he is like Shepards brother from another mother lol

And on topic, there is no point in Bioware spending money on 80 or 100 of you when most of us would rather see Shephard have a different outfit than have him partake in a disgusting ****** relationship just for your fantasies.

It would be wise to ignore the trolls and other crazies. I didn't last time, and it got the thread locked. I wish this forum had an Ignore-function, but as it is, we just have to do it the old fashioned way.

They're "monitoring" these threads certainly - but there's precious little they can get out of them that would assist in thier business decisions.

At least they get that a small but determined part of the community is doing its best to get their attention, and focus it on one of their most significant minority fans who are trying to get them to return to the high standards they set up. They won't post anything significant - all that they say is taken for the company policy - but I don't think these threads are pointless in getting their attention. At least they'll see what kind of "support" they're getting for their decision.

You are, quite simply, wrong.
There is vast psychological concensus that homosexuality and pedophilia are in no way related. It's not even the same portion of the brain that controls the two. Pedophillia is not a sexuality because it's not about sex. It's about power, domination, control, and anger. This has been proven. Repeatedly. And it is defined as such is the DSM-IV. the DSM also defines homosexuality as a natural variation of human sexuality. These are facts proven by those with the authority and ability to prove them. What you think is irrelivant to what they say.

Now, to take this back on topic. This is the very reason some of us want to see a homosexual romance in the game. We want Bioware to acknowledge that it exists and it will exist in the future and there is nothing wrong with it. We want some acknowledgement that our portion of the fanbase is here and we are loyal and we want to remain loyal.  Our request is miniscule in comparison to the threads demanding bioware change the thermal clips, scanning, load screens, credit system, weapons systems, targeting system, etc etc etc. Those threads, more often than not, involve the posters threatening to never purchase a bioware game again unless their demands are met. They involve people trash talking the Dev's, writers, Bioware, EA, basically everyone responsible for making the game.
We are not those people. We aren't even making a demand. We are just voicing our desire as players and as fans.

You would probably execute me and my boyfriend because you don't like two men kissing eachother. You are not a Bioware executive and just saying money is limited is neither here not there. Interracial marriage is beautiful, but you are too blind to see past anything not having to with straight people and race.

This is about Shepard and the percentage of the audience that would like to have an option that portrays him as a homosexual.



The thought that people's thoughts on the matter can be kept out of the topic and it can solely be about the video game - is an irrational request. We define the world of art (in this case, video games) by what we know of the real world. We cannot discuss one - without revealing our beliefs about the other.



1) I don't want more, or equal. I want "at least one" option.



2) If I can't have one - I want "Loner Shepard" as an option. An entire tree - as involved as these romances - devoted to a man going it alone against the Reapers.



3) I'd appreciate a response of some sort from Bioware - there is so much conjecture from the fanbase about "What Bioware has said - " I'd like to see Bioware write it.

You will get flak from fundamentalists and bigots Bioware - or, you will get demands from gay consumers who want to be included in the games they're paying you for - so, the question is: Which one do you think is right? And which one is just easy?



I'll be looking for your response in future games - and that will give me the chance to decide whether to continue with your company or not.
