Yes I would love to romance her, she is my favorite character since the first Mass Effect. She is strong and weak at the same time and she shares my interests. But hey, I can fully understand BioWare, that they don`t want to make everyone bi but no one except of Kelly is... cheap.

Don't get me started on this. There's no compelling reason (in-game at least) that Tali would care if you're the female gender of a different species. As if they species hurdle wasn't the major factor. The shared dialog for 70% of the conversations for Male or Female Sheps only makes it worse, as it really seems like something is there (or at least could be there, but now its ruled out). 

I don't even see how you can call an extra-species relationship gay/bi/lesbian to begin with. Even a "straight" relationship would lose meaning when none of the..."parts" are exactly compatible, the connection is going to be an emotional and psychological one anyway.

Instead, focus on the positive. Discuss with us the benefits of including a same sex romance in the game. Who would you like to see as potential romance partners for Shepard?

Well, I dunno. I can see gender being a bigger, more insurmountable obstacle than even species as far as humanoid romance goes. Or else we wouldn't even be having this thread at all, you know? If Tali is a straight woman, she might be attracted to a male Shepard just fine, but she wouldn't be any more attracted to a female Shepard than a gay female Shepard would be attracted to Thane.

Hey, it's free society for the most part.  Not sure I'd go that route but if you can have a lesbian love affair then I don't see why Shepard can't go all brokeback Mountain with Garrus.  they've been through a lot together, after all.

This what makes it even worse is when the Tali fanboys start frothing at the mouth at the mere mention of her being bisexual as if "OMG That would totally be out of character!!!111!!!" 

Like its not out of character enough for her to be romancing a human. <_<

Exactly...I was honestly touched and impressed by the way the Femshep/Tali relationship turns out (the suit-syncing gesture), but the Male Romance option fanservice is so out of character I have to wonder how my Female Shephard offended her to be left off the bandwagon.

Well, she does mention once that what moved her was that she felt like a young damsel in distress, and that Shepard was some kind of dashing knight in shining armor. That feels to me mostly like a girl-boy thing.

I'm OK with gay characters and all, but I just can't see Tali as bi or gay.

Agree, I was touched to and in one moment near to cry. That was really excellent work here.
