I dunno if this has already been said in this massive thread but the first time my male shep walked up to kaiden (in the old normandy) something about the setting/ animation/ atmosphere made me think "holy smokes, shep is gay!"



I was, and still AM absolutely convinced that there was (at some time) a romance option intended there.

Yeahhh.... I wanted to cry after I found out all my flirting was for naught Not including it at all is one thing... including some/most of it and then cutting us off is just evil...

Someone will probably mod ME2 as ME1 was modded to restore the same-sex dialogue options. Or at least to make the romances gender-blind. The same thing's been done in Dragon Age. Unfortunately, this would be a PC-only mod.

Not the same thing, it wouldnt carry over to the 3rd game :/

Better PC than nothing but yes I hope ME2 is modded soon, so I can enjoy a Tali romance. I look forward to a whole Mass Effect Gaymance Pack in the future, for the whole trilogy.^^

Yeah, or I REALLY liked Ryuuichi's idea of a Mass Effect Trilogy Director's Cut type deal once all three games are out that include the stuff they cut/never got around to finishing. I'd totally buy it.

Amusing...I've for a long time pondered the possibility of a Mass Effect: Anniversary Edition that would graphically upgrade the earlier games to ME3 level and add in any content that was cut away due to time or other constraints, such as the original Therum facility, but I didn't come to think of the romance angle. Such a thing would certainly be welcome as well, but lets wait for ME3 to start with, eh?

Meh I do agree with the people that claim it may be too late into the game for possible male romance between characters, with the exception of Kaiden because of the obvious tension between Shepard and him. Especially in ME2 (won't elaborate, if you don't know what I mentioned, you will as you play.)



Either way, if Shepard can't have it, at least give the option to whatever else occurs in the Mass Effect universe after this trilogy.

not that there is anything wrong with that- i'm all for including gay relationships in the game-

but if the default character image is going to look like a homosexual metrosexual then the options should be in the game.

i'm more upset they removed the girl-girl options- since it WAS included in the game as part of the first it was a definite downgrade.  if they never had it in me1 i wouldnt' be upset.

but after including same sex relationships in dao and foursome and threesomes and pigs- i don't see how they went back on this one in this game.

 if you really think about it asari look like girls sound like girls but the dont really have a sex since the whole species is this way and dont need a male to reproduce

There's still hope for a Director's Cut.

I think you could only get certain endings in the director's cut of Star Ocean so there's always the hope that BioWare might use the Director's cut trilogy as an way to add it in and (hopefully revamp the combat system too).

I'm a hopeless optimist. But I refuse to give up hope damnit!

360 user here, and I'm hoping for a expansion/dlc since the Director's cut can take years to get released. :c I mean, I would love to romance Kaidan/Ashley/anyone with a heartbeat as the same sex with revamped combat, new graphics etc etc., but my patience isn't that infinite ):

There's still hope for a Director's Cut.

Hah. I'm used to waiting for brand new Persona games so I have pretty good patience.

I'm still waiting from them to atleast announce they're working on 5.

Haha, at least it takes me forever to finish any Persona games, so I'm good with P5 not being announced. Mass Effect, on the other hands, takes me a week combined to finish so... Huh, that makes me sound hypocritical. :/

Wow. Insecure enough to be emasculated without even responding anything, and in a video game to boot. I wonder what would happen if a guy hit on you IRL. And don't say you'd punch them; some RL gays are damn beefy bodybuilder types.



But off topic, and I'm derailing further, here. Just as long as the option is easily avoidable, there shouldn't be an issue, should there?
