Reason to put same sex romances (mainly m/m. considering f/f is still sort of possible)
back into the game:
1. ME1 relationships get messed up. (I was with Kaidan but the game altered it
to Liara)
2. Why remove a possibility that was there in the first game. (And didn’t cause
problems)
3. Gay people are mainly accepted (except for the people that are actually
scared for it (Even though this mainly seems to be true for m/m, f/f is more
accepted) or religion reasons).
4. People that want to avoid it still can by making the right choices. (Or make
obvious cancel choices)
I said mainly m/m in the start for the simple fact f/f is still sort of
possible with Liara. I know IT isn’t really any gender. But by looks and
personality IT is easily assumable that they would be referred to as female.
Most points I have seen in this threat are things because it doesn’t fit
his/her Shepard. But they seem to forget the fact you are playing in your OWN
universe with choices YOU make.
You should basically see everyone’s story as an altered universe. That’s
why there are so many choices which all have impact on the story (now and in
later games).
Looking at the design of the game there is also no logical reason for removing
this possibility for the simple fact that you can choose to be gay in the first
game. And then by importing your shepard to ME2 he all of a sudden loses his sexuality
preference which YOU choose YOUR shepard to have.
Kaidan not being gay is also something that is true in SOME of the universes. But
there never have been any facts about him that he was only straight or only
gay. His preference got altered by YOUR actions the same goes for Ashley if you
choose her.
And for the fact if 1/*** people are gay so it isn’t true that two people on
the ship are gay. The possibility is smaller not impossible. And as stated
earlier someone’s preference can be altered.
And please for people who respond. Try to stay adult and build your statements
with actual opinions. Instead of just saying I don’t want it in just because.
