Garrus is fictional, ok?... The issue is that it doesn't make sense to restrict Garrus to females Shepards, all other things considered.

Nothing in Garrus' romance is about sex, NOWHERE. Take out the sex part and it could very well work with either sex. It's a relationship of admiration, not a physical attraction. He's not attracted to humans AT ALL. He clearly states it ._. Just saying... not all "Romances" have to be about the physical aspect, especially when you bring aliens into it. Look at Tali... Clearly not physical.

Exactly my point. Though I like to fantasize about Garrus having a physical encounter with my male Shep. But
obviously, Garrus has a deep romantic connection with Shepard, whether they be male or female. You can make love to someone without having sex.

Hardly. Look the romance up some time from YouTube. It doesn't contain any sex, or even sexuality. Just Platonic attraction. Garrus is not into humans that way, regardless of gender. Hence there's little reason why he couldn't be non-sexually attracted to male Shepard, as well.

ManSheps forehead is just so radically different  from that of a female Shepard.  It's completely  incompatible with Garrus's forehead!

I need to go finish my game I have now with the MShep/Kaidan thing going. I didn't know you get extra dialogue in ME2 if you stay faithful. (Won't be hard for me since I'm obviously not going for the ladies)

It was planned anyway, for Tali. I don't think anybody has gone and datamined Garrus or Thane's dialogue yet to see if they have the same-sex lines.

Yes, this goes without saying because neither Garrus or Tali are human. But that point is moot because they added a lesbian relationship with Secretary Kelly, and didn't add a gay relationship in any form. The alien romances are possible because they are based on mutual romantic attraction, not physical attraction.
