Kaidans romance was removed because he's clearly straight...he mentions how Liara looks good, and also talks about a lost love (with a GIRL, that's right) on Jump Zero.
All you gay's trying to make out like Kaiden is a ****** just starting to ****** me off now. That's DEFINITELY not going to happen.
All threads along this Gay/Not Gay line need to just die off...or get locked.

If he was straight then why did they even act out the romance scenes.

Also, so what if he had a heterosexual past? That makes no difference, perhaps they intended for him to be bi with that scene, either way the statement still stands:

Female Shep can have a woman Male Shep can not have a man. That is the issue. If not Kaidan then someone else fitting.

Who cares? They weren't in the released game, and that was 3 YEARS ago man...let it go. You've got even less chance with EA at the helm...

Here for you

Honestly give minorities an inch and they'll take a mile? Seriously?

Please stop. You're just making arguments to make arguments at this point.

Anyway Another M!Shep x Kaiden vid (stolen off Fight for the Love)

Thats not what this is about though. Bioware a company who seemed to have prided themselves on doing what other game developers are scared to do made 7 steps forward at first and then walked 5 back by CREATING the option for a Kaiden/Shepard romance and removing it.

As I said before, i don't care you don't want to see it: as you would not have to unless you choose to.

I want Bioware to answer the damn questions asked of them, not dodge around them. I want them to give their REASONING for removing that Shepard option. And this still goes back to the fact they would not lose any business. Not in the scope that it would effect any of their earnings at least. I still plan to buy ME2 dlc content and ME3 with or without M/M romance for Shepard, but this is me wanting what was offered and taken away with the first ME1. I say give it back, especially if they have no problem with the female Shepard having the lesbian option.

If a gamer is so uncormfortable with the mere THOUGHT of m/m romance in THEIR game, well, they sound more scared that they would be tempted to choose it than disgusted of the thought.

Bioware OWE you nothing. like any minority group, you are given an inch and want to take a mile. the damn game is not a romance simulator - it is one aspect yes, but pandering to minorities is not BW's duty. in fact they don't have to include anything for anyone - it is their game. complaining about it, (with a very telling profile name btw) vociferously for 80+ pages, by the same few people is just annoying for everyone. if you don't like it, don't play it - go back to all those other games that showcase gay romances.... oh yeah, there aren't any.

If it's annoying then don't click on the link and don't read the posts, you very actions are counter-productive.

We're customers, we have the right make requests or complaints about the product we buy. If they don't have to include anything for anyone then why did they make the shooter gameplay more focused and strip rpg elements down, people complained and requested that and thy did it. You just don' like what we're reuqesting.

Because what you're requesting is bull****. For 95% of players it wont make any difference to their game, except to choose one dialogue option saying "No thanks".
BW hopefully will focus on implementing things that aren't tailored for an EXTREMELY small minority group.
As the previous poster said, like all minorites you get given an inch and wanna take a mile.

I was given no inch. I got given the "possibility" that never made it to the game.

You said it yourself it would not effect others because they would be able to avoid the romance by not talking to Kaidan or simply saying "no thanks"

And there is romance between MShepard and Kaidan even without those scenes. Its obvious!

Open a new thread and request for it.  I respect your...hm....urge of needing animal romance in game so I won't go there and troll against it.

This debate is bull**** man...I'm so sick of seeing it front page everytime I come to the forum. I'd say less than 10%, hell less than 5% of ME players are gay. Theres NO CHANCE anyone is going to implement something for that percentage. Just let it go...

How about not reading it or posting in it then?  How can it upset you that this thread is constantly on the front page?

Maybe it would not be on the front page all the time people like you did not keep arguing with people who have as much right to be here and to post here as you do.

I see no problem in people asking for a gay romance (and I am fully supportive of there being one in ME3) and then others politley debating from a different viewpoint.  You however seem to be trying to stop people doing something that has no affect on you.

No offense to anyone, but I sincerely do NOT want ANY option to romance same sex characters in Mass Effect trilogy.

This is a video game and not real life. When playing a video game, I want to be entertained with elements that are enjoyable to me. Even getting a hint of homosexual interaction in a video game is disturbing to me and I want none of it. This is part of the reason I never bothered to pick up Dragon Age: Origins.

You may call it shallow or close minded, but I know that a preference in playing a video game is completely different from moral or social values in real life. Connecting them together seems quite silly to me.

Having said that, what's wrong about people making threads to ask for features they seek? I do not agree with them and I certainly do not want the features to appear ever in this trilogy, but that is my opinion and I am not afraid to state it. But people who seek gay romance has just about as much right to state their opinions as I just did.

I do not agree with the above post (apart from most parts of the final paragraph), but it is pretty much a perfect example (imo) of how to politely disagree with people Posted Image

What if we shared your views but in reverse, it'd be a very nasty world wouldn't it? Andif homosexual elements are entertaining to us, why would connecting them to our games be sily?

Thak you for at least supporting us being able to ask though Posted Image

There's nothing wrong with your opinion, as not everyone wants to see the options and flirty dialog while they play the game. This is why setting your sexuality at the beginning of the game was proposed, so that you wouldn't even see the option if you didn't want it. In my opinion, it's the least intrusive solution.

The "Pro" people are wasting thier breath -

Please, speak with your money. If that X percentage of people deprive Bioware of their hard earned money - then, perhaps it will be enough for Bioware to notice.

Of course - stating that you're not purchasing a product due to lack of personal relevant content is necissary - but you're stating it to teenagers and hatemongers - not the company.

Arguing with evil people is not going to win this cause.

Speak with your money - drop Bioware's profits. Don't pay for other people's content.

In that case just give me Thane, considering I have not seen a female of his kind yet. Or Garrus because of their brotherly love and the fact I never seen a female Turian (if I have then they look no different. As for Garrus.... probably not. that would be awkward.)

So a male version of an asari. I could settle for that. Kaiden would be easier since its already been made lol
