Ninja Mage,

Do you have anything useful to add to the thread or are you just gonna keep on posting over and over again the same picture that contributes absolutely nothing? I stated my opinion respectfully and encouraged people to keep debating. You on the other hand... well, need I say more?

There's nothing wrong with your opinion, as not everyone wants to see the options and flirty dialog while they play the game. This is why setting your sexuality at the beginning of the game was proposed, so that you wouldn't even see the option if you didn't want it. In my opinion, it's the least intrusive solution.

That idea sounds great to me, though I wonder how many people might find it a bit strange to see a pop up option at the start of the game asking to verify a sexual orientation of the very character that you will be controlling for the entirety of the game. I can't speak for others obviously. But I want to make it clear that the last thing I want to hear is some bunch of press desperately seeking for attention to make a big deal out of it.

What if we shared your views but in reverse, it'd be a very nasty world wouldn't it? Andif homosexual elements are entertaining to us, why would connecting them to our games be sily?

Thak you for at least supporting us being able to ask though

edit: blatant spelling errors >_<

Take Grand Theft Auto games for example. You can shoot or run over pedestrians without any reason, engage in extortion, robbery, arson, etc, and you get into chases with cops. Are they enjoyable within a video game spectrum? Absolutely. Am I going to go out into the real world and do the same thing because I found those activities enjoyable in a video game? Absolutely NOT. Hence, why I stated that a preference in a video game for solitary entertainment purposes shouldn't be tied to real life social and moral values.

Out in the real world, as long as you are a friendly and helpful individual, I don't care what your sexual orientation is. In the real world, a respectful homosexual individual will respect my wishes not to be engaged in homosexual activities, whereas I will be respectful myself to respect that person's sexuality. However, in this video game, I am playing by myself to be entertained with things that I seek for in a video game. And one of the things that I do not seek for entertainment in a video game is homosexual romance scenarios. You see the difference?

But like I said, this is only my preference and opinion. I am sure you have yours too, and although we may disagree, I can't see how people can blatantly ask you to stop posting. It seems immature to ask people to be quiet whenever they hear someone expressing conflicting opinions.

Except FemShep, who can be a lesbian by focusing on Liara or bisexual by flirting with both Liara and Kaiden.

Yeah they did because a female Shepard had a choice of a female in both games meaning in ME1 she could romance LIARA  and then in ME2 romance a male character = both sexes, so, bisexual

Or if your being picky that Liara isn't a woman: romance Kaidan in ME1 and then romance Kelly in Me2 same conclusion.

And they wrote in Kaidan to be bi or else theyw ouldn't have made those scenes for ME1 and I have no IDEA why the ME2 one was made if the former was excluded anyways.

They need to update both games to give them to the gamers that want it.

For 95% of players it wont make any difference to their game, except to choose one dialogue option saying "No thanks".

hmmm perhaps I'm not awake yet but this was all i processed.
So for 95% of players it won't make any difference.
so there shouldn't be a problem with it.

anyway... I really don't understand why we must keep explaining this to folks.
Lack of a romance option does not void a sexuality. Just because Shep or Kaidan or even Garrus isn't out banging every man, woman, and turian doesn't mean any other potential sexuality has suddenly vanished.
A gay guy who doesn't hit on every member of his team because they're straight, is still gay.
A bisexual with a girlfriend is still bisexual.
Heck a bisexual with a wife and three kids is still bisexual.

I simply do not  comprehend this train of thought that says just because Shep couldn't romance a guy in 1 or 2 he somehow must be straight. Doesn't make sense.

Cool random opinion and no statistics bro

Why would you need statistics? It happens. That's fact.

Now, whether that has any bearing on Shepard or not, I can't say I really care much, but "show me the statistics" is a pretty worthless argument. People (including characters in the Mass Effect series) are obviously not created and fleshed out based on statistical probabilities.

Yes because turning gay after you divorce happens "ALL THE TIME"

meaning a lot. Which no, it does not happen ALL THE TIME

Hence why I was asking you 'Are you sure you know what bisexual means?'
Because apparently you have no idea that bisexuals actually *exist*

I guess it depends on what you consider "all the time," but it's not uncommon for someone to have a same-sex relationship after a divorce.  It's not as common as the alternative, but if you think it's a very rare occurance, you're mistaken.

My point, though, is that statistics are completely irrelevant to this argument (though there's plenty of reading material  out there about it if you want to educate yourself).  What are the statistics on people who've saved the galaxy, died, and then come back to do it again?  Pretty slim, I'd guess.

You are mixing real life and videogames. Bisexuality does not exist on the MALE Side of Mass Effect team mates FINAL VERSION. On the Female side it does

Actually the way it was proposed (still think it's weird that he and I said the exact same thing lol) is as a setting on the options screen. So where one gets to set the difficulty, subtitles, team-power-usage, etc. there would also be a setting to turn same-sex romance dialogue on or off (and even the on setting wouldn't turn off opposite sex dialogue) and the default setting would be Off.

Sadly it seems that some people on both sides of the debate are dead set against any notion of compromise.

I'd go for that, so long as they give me the Kaidan romance that was intended for the game in the first place with it.

Really? I skimmed the site rules and it didn't seem inappropriate. The rules didn't say anything against posting public pictures of the VAs. Neither is it slander or insulting. I'll wait for a mod to tell me its wrong before removing it.

Also: Endurance you don't have to quote pics you know. >_>

Edit: Meer is Shep's VA not his model. He's modeled after Mark Venderloo? Vanderloo? Something like that.
