Its not worth the achievement. I find myself dying over & over again in the same areas. I die in only 3 bullets.
Is everyone having the same problem. If you are then... WHAT THE HELL WAS BIOWARE THINKING!!!???
Probably EAs idea anyway, who knows. All Im saying is that it sucks. Its no fun playing against a BULLY difficulty.

Also, whos idea was to take away our research projects when starting a NEW GAME+, its dumb.

And I dont suck in shooters (I beated gears of war in the hardest difficulty... BOTH OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).Image IPB

There's a reason it's called Insanity. It's possible but it takes tons of patience, planning, and taking advantage of the fact AI is AI.

Well, it's there for those who want to play at that difficulty. You don't have to.

Time to get a bit more strategic than just shooting at anything that moves.

A challenge is fun but there is a difference between something being chalangeing and something being annoying/non enjoyable and frustraiting, I gave up after Horizon on veteran, so im not bothering with insanity.

Insanity is evil ;-;

Regenerating enemies are the bane of my existence at this point. You are screwed without Warp / Reave w/e from what I'm seeing against Krogan, and even Vorcha at time. They regenerate at ludicrous rates

Although achievements are just numbers with no reward, I feel it's cruel that one achievement is so hard to get while the rest are very easy. I want me all mah achievements!

It's not fun, it's tedious. Some peeps like that, I guess.

I only died twice at freedom's progress. And that was the hardest part for me.

I had problems early in Thane's recruitment and the two scions at the end of horizon but other than that not too much. Of course, I still haven't done most of the loyalty missions or the derelict collector ship yet.

ya, vorcha are a pain in the ass if you cant stop their regen. but, insanity was a fun experience. granted there were times when i wanted to put a hole in my LCD monitor out of sheer frustration. but, i stuck it out. was nice to play as a soldier and not be able to just run in and mow everything down and still be standing. now, playing as a soldier didnt require as much tactical thinking as, say, an adept, but it was still enough.

Quick guide to insanity ME2:

-Pick Sentinel

-Get tech armor to lvl 4, get improved armor

-Profit

Very doable with a sentinel. With the other classes is also doable, specially if its your 2nd run and got access to Barrier or Geth Shields bonus powers.

But seriously, the Sentinel kicks ass. Armor, overload for shields, warp for armor, throw for husks and melee enemies. The only power that doesn't cut it in high difficulties is Cryo Blast.

ha.  You should have done what i did and cheated : )
after destroying the husks, I sent Miranda and grunt to distract the scions, and hacked the computer while the scions were still alive.

Also good luck with the collector ship, as that is where I turned down the difficulty to casual : )

Infiltrator was the best choice for me. I tried Soldier, had some ammo issues, tried Sentinel, the shield felt almost useless.

Cloak, Sniping, and Miranda worked very nicely. I used different people for my 3rd squad member choice.

personally i had the most trouble with picking up garrus (one of those doors are just outright nasty to approach and close!), and the bubble-part on collector ship.... was not fun being a adept there.

I can only play this game on Insanity, I in fact just finished my first play threw yesterday. I find it most enjoyable and challenging.

The only frustrating parts I had in this game was the first encounter with the Praetorian and the Scions inside the Collector ship and EDI is trying to get control back. As well as the Varren when you have to make Grunt part of Wrex's clan and also the one N7 Mission when you have to save the Quarian from the Varren.

Again after playing it for the first time I realized when playing on Insanity the best way to beat the game is to make sure, at least to me that all of your team mates do AoE damage and you can get the group weapon bonus, ie Armor Penetration bullets and such things like that from your team members.

I used an Adept with Barrier, works wonders when you get shot with a missile and don't take the fallback. I used Unstable Warp to knock shields down and Singularity with the ability to last longer, that way when enemies were getting to close they would stagger when approaching.

I always had Grunt on my team and ether another mid range biotic or solider, or long range biotic or solider. On some missions the best set plan is to have two snipers, they can kill enemies fast and there long range, that way theres less AI retard mistakes on your team with them jumping over crates and mad rushing the enemy and ultimately dieing.

Eh, I'm running Soldier, Commando, with Heightened Reflexes, I've done everything to decrease my survivability (and my squad's) to get more weapon damage.

Works just fine on Insanity for me, just use cover.

I just started my Insanity playthrough with that sentinel. But i guess i can change that warp ammo to that Geth Shield so that it would be more effective.

And i was just thinking that taking the sentinel was the wrong idea. Lets hope i make it through.
Heh, i do wanna say something i "discovered" while playing. Warp is damned useful. When i was doing that Archangel recruitment mission i just basically warped that gunship down. Only way i could think of.

Wait let me get this straight... You are complaining that the highest difficulty in the game, intended to be the most challenging for the most hardcore players to strain their abilities, is too hard?

Have you listened to yourself?

Infiltrator or Sentinel is the way to go. Vanguard and Adept make it nearly impossible. Engineer seems to be uniformly not all that great, and Soldier has to be out of cover for too long to do effective damage, thus turning him into swiss cheese.

Hardest part thus far was definately Horizon. Husk waves. Not Scions. Definately not the Praetorian.

It is tedious and I'd love more checkpoints in waved fights, but eh.
