I find Insanity pretty easy with an Adept

If anything they need to add another difficulty to it. I find Insanity to be way to easy (especially on my Sentinel)

Yer, I'd have to say I find even Insanity not insane enough.

If it was really Insane then you would be not able to make even 1 mistake on the hard fights (bosses, YMIR mechs etc). As it is, you have about 2 seconds to get back in cover in most situations and that's plenty of time. If you are Infiltrator or Soldier then Cloak and Andrenaline Rush give you plenty of opportunity to dish out the pain.

I died alot but I still don't think Insanity is Insanely hard.

I think there should be a Perfection Level, which also includes 30% more foes... so ammunition management gets REALLY tight.

You should also have to push waves of enemies back, so being able to neutralise, stun and take down waves and advance at the same time.

QFT! YES! 30% more enemies would be much better. As it is after almost every fight in the game I am always wanting more to fight. Seriously, they need to up the difficulty and up the amount of enemies you face. It's way to easy as it is now :/

This is an obvious lie. If you did beat both games on the hardest difficulty than you should be just fine with the insanity difficulty of Mass Effect 2. I myself played and beat both games on the hardest difficulty and both were much harder than Mass Effect 2. There is a big difference.

No... not really, actually. If anything it's not challenging enough.

It frightens me that the harder the difficulty, the more likely you are to have Miranda stapled to your ass as a party member.

Depending on the class, I agree with this post.  For example, I found it easier to get through Insanity on my Engineer than say, my Vanguard or Infiltrator.  Out of those three, my Vanguard is probably the one I have the hardest time getting through Insanity on.  With my Infiltrator/Assassin, I rely more on cloak/SMG than I do cloak/SR so it isnt quite as bad.  And I can almost run through with my eyes shut with my Engineer on Insanity lol.

not insane enough. enemies have too many redundant armor/tech/barriers, not enough aggressive AI. Also not enough enemy types or weapon types. Enemy AI needs more attacks and tactics to use against the player, specifically to drive them out of cover - and not just harbinger's knockback.

I gunned everything down with my soldier playthrough. Then I sneaked past half of it with my infiltrator, interesting contrast. Now I'm trying to see what the fuss is with vanguards.

Yer, the AI on Insanity should be gunning for you HARD, driving you out of cover, pushing you back and constantly threatening you.

The only thing that came close was the Geth Hunter - fast and tough.. and pushing you hard to take him down before he can nail you.

It's a pity that AI Hacking just turns that into a Ho Hum threat.... if you have Tali versus Geth or you are an infiltrator its then not hard at all - that's not a big negative though - the Geth Hunters were the most threatening and toughest to beat if u dont have Hacking.

I love how everyone just automatically turns to EA for the problems or faults in the game.

It was hard at first, but then I realized the power of the Combat Drone! It distracted those annoying Scions, Ymirs, etc. Made it a million times easier. Course, that's still really hard.

Insanity is about perfect for me. I generally die 2-3 times per mission, until I figure out a particular way to face a certain fight, figure out a good strategy for what's coming, etc. Even once I figure that out, a coupla times I've died by making a stupid mistake.

Insanity is very challenging for me, but so far not frustrating. I've beaten the Collector ship, recruited everyone except Legion, and I've done Zaeed, Kasumi, Miranda, Jacob, Samara and Tali's loyalty missions. Got a few more to go, then it's off to take on the Collectors.

Once I'm done with this run, though, I'm not playing insanity again. It's a good challenge, but too much to be my "main" difficulty. Well, unless Hardcore is too easy after Insanity, I guess...

Does anyone know to do the N7: Quarian crash site mission on Insanity?

I've done everything but that before continuing the main plot with Reaper IFF. But the quarian crash site is, well, insane. I can't kill the varren fast enough to save the quarian. This Shepard is an Engineer.

Only one part really stood out for being a pain, during the ambush on the 'deserted' alien vessel.

With the scion able to flank you in the very first floating platform, it can be really easy to be overwhelmed without decent cover.

I just popped the cain, took out the first scion and first batch of enemies, and allowed cover to build through platforms.

I've only done it with an adept, a solider and a vanguard, so i can't comment for the other classes, but insanity isn't that hard with those classes, you just need to be smart and patient.

Tali's loyalty mission? Not so hard with an Engineer configured for AI Hack and Miranda and Kasumi. But those geth hunters can be annoying.

Edit:
No one knows how to beat the N7 Quarian Crash Site mission on insanity?

If ME2's insanity was anywhere near ME1's insanity, I would be banging my head on my desk right now.

Shooting 100 slugs into 1 puny mercenary only to have him pop immunity and regen back was no fun.

I've beaten it with a Vanguard and a Soldier on Insanity, haven't attempted it with other classes. I would spec Shep to reduce cooldowns so you can keep using Incinerate, plus consider bringing along Grunt and Jack--both of which are useful melee companions armed with shotguns.

For advice that's actually useful, try here: http://masseffect.wi...rian_Crash_Site

Edit: argh, can't get it out of the quotes. Ah, well...

If you find insanity in this game too hard than you need to do 2 things.

1) Turn the difficulty down. There are what, 5 difficulty levels? Pick one other than the level that makes you pull your hair out.

2) Accept the fact that you just might not be as good at this game as you think you are. Insanity really isn't that hard.

Finished Insanity couple of days ago. New Game+ 30lvl Adept with shield draining ability. Very challenging at the beginning, but as the time passed, my equipment got upgraded and I learned how to deal with toughed up enemies, it became a really good fun. No problems at Horizon (well, maybe a glich. A third wave of Collectors when defending the console didn't show up. Had to reload my save). But overall It is all about using your abilities and companiuns to the max. I was hardly shooting my weapons most times, relying on some good ol' biotic asskickin'. Collector base was pretty much a cakewalk. Earning this achievement wasn't easy, but rewarding IMHO.

But now I started a new game, on Normal with Soldier. Every 2min I go "This is so easy I am ashamed for winning" :D Going through the Insane difficulty can really make your skills sharp.
