Insanely easy you mean. That coming from me, I who couldnt finish halo on easy. That said Insane playthru as a Sentinel, Engineer and Infiltrator you will have no problem. With Stasis as a bonus power and the arc projector, insanity feels like normal.

Another difficult mission was the anomaly where you found the shipment of 180 Mechs. That wsa definitely a beyotch.


Yes...I found Kasumi's difficult too...I end up giving the Arc Gun a good work out on her mission.

I don't see how is that an issue. If Insanity was the standard difficulty and you couldn't change it, it'd make sense for people to complain. But there are 5 difficulties, each befitting a different skill level.

You don't HAVE to play on Insanity if it's too hard for you. The Insanity achievement does nothing.

This is why I don't like achievements. People feel like they MUST get them all, and when they can't they blame the game, and the devs end up catering to those people.

I don't think it's insane enough.
To be truly insane everyone needs to be pouring milk all over their faces and wearing bowler hats with little flowers on the top and standing on top of a pile of old moudly newspapers yelling:
"I AM THE LIZARD QUEEN!"

*ahem*

Okay but seriously, it's called insanity because the difficulty level is insane. It's not the sort of thing that's expected to be fair on the player. But honestly I just play casual, I'm in it for the story, not the difficulty.

If I want to play a game that's needlessly difficult I'll play Psychonauts.

Psychonauts wasn't that bad.

I think BioShock is hard, and only played it on Normal.

The Meat Circus level.... my god. That one almost killed me with frustration.

That said, the imaginative gameplay, witty writing and fabulous worlds were enough to keep me going.

What's the point of starting a new thread when you know there's another thread about the same thing already?

It's only necro if you don't add to the topic. In this case, the difficulty has been discussed to no ends and it makes no sense to open up a year long dead topic on a discussion such as this.

Not everything people like calling a necro is actually thread necromancy, but this is just useless.

I personally thought that the game was too easy when I played on hardcore on my first playthrough. On my other 5 playthroughs, I played on Insanity and it felt more realistic. But that's just me, though. I'm a tactical player. On insanity, you're supposed to be taking cover and not charge in. you aim while you're in cover and jump out to shoot for 2 seconds and get back in cover, but observe the enemies so you don't get flanked.

Oh, it is really easy to be a soldier with the Mattock rifle. Or be a sentinel and get the assault rifle upgrade later. It simplifies things for insanity.

I class Insanity as normal now, everything else just seems so easy, even hardcore.
