No, they had real houses then, not cubicles, so they had their own rooms and doors. On the Flotilla it's very different and they need all the privacy they can get. No, they have different genetic builds, Quarians have dextro-amino acids and humans have levo-amino acids. So Our Sheps will never have kids...

I never worried about it before hand ether, Tali is not the first Quarian to have a interspecies relationship hell you see a Turian hitting on a Quarian at Illium and she go off about having a "dry spell" ((Thou im not sure if that about sex or booze)). You hear adds for Quarian immune treatment as well as many other things.
Aslo to boot to let you know she just fine talk to her after the suicide mission she tell you what illness she has and it was totally worth it ((All of them minor)).
