Am I the only one that liked Zaeed?

I know people are upset at his lack of a dialogue tree, and I do realize it's because he's a tacked on DLC, I thought it played well into how his character worked anyway. He's a mercenary, he doesn't care what you think, he's just there to run a suicide mission and get paid. His stories were interesting, and I enjoyed his dialogues during missions.
I -really- want to see him as an optional character in ME3.

He's kind of an afterthought and I am indifferent to him.

However, he obviously was the most under-developed, has very little conversation, and was very vague and general in things.
If his character was to the level of the normal squad (pre-dlc), I would assume he would be more interesting.

thats doubtful. DLC characters will likely not affect ME3 because not everyone will have them, just liek Bring Down the Sky played absolutely no part in ME2. Zaeed is okay as a squad member, but garrus or grunt are far better choices for an assault role then he.
I actually heard a reference to Bring Down the Sky on the newsfeed. Something about a prayer service being led by the late Kate Bowman's dad.

When you do Jacobs loaylty mission his statement about 'probably chewin' the walls' was so good.
Zaeed made me laugh more than any other character by his one liners on missions.
This was as full paragon with him loyal.
Only other one who made me laugh was Scotty in engineering.
I cared about saving him more than some of my crew...

I didn't use him very often on my first playthrough, but he's getting some screen some time on insanity.

I liked him, rare to get a true badass veteran like him. Now that the Blue Suns are dead he can rebuild a new mercenary empire called the Mandalorians, and become the new Mandalore.
Yes, so he'll carry over in ME3. But he'll be covered in armor, so you won't know for sure it's him.

I don't think any of the DAO chars set any bars anywhere... Except maybe Alister.

I really didn't mind the lack of conversation. I feel that everything that needed to be said was said. I look at it as Bioware experimenting with a different way of telling a characters story, and it worked for me. It was refreshing to hear his tales unfold, without it being a lame 20 questions dialog. It was a nice break, too many dialog wheel 20 questions things, make me feel like I am pestering the crew to death with question after question, this worked for me.

There is a blurb about it on the Galactic News if you completed it, complete with details about decisions you made. The planet you saved was Terra Nova if you're wondering.

I mainly loved him for his Firefly references. "Let's go be big god***** heroes" and naming his gun "Jessie" (just like Jayne named his gun "Vera").
