I liked Zaeed well enough - sort of reminded me of Canderous. :P

I thought he was okay. A bit of a throwaway without much depth or originality, but not terrible.

I mainly loved him for his Firefly references. "Let's go be big god***** heroes" and naming his gun "Jessie" (just like Jayne named his gun "Vera").

Yeah, I also find it kinda funny that his VA has ties to Joss Whedon. Robin Sachs played Giles' old rival Ethan on Buffy.

Zaeed's cool and I do think everyone has Zaeed, seeing the developers made him FREE downloadable content (as a thank you for buying ME2).

I liked him. I doubt he'd be a recruitable character in ME3, but it would be nice to have a side mission for him, perhaps helping him go after Santiago again if you let him get away in ME2.

At the end of his loyalty mission what he did was enough for me to like him.

I think he's plenty possible to return for ME3, probably as a DLC again.

I actually -don't- want him to get a dialogue tree or get all lovey dovey with the crew, I just want him sitting in the garbage room telling war stories again. :D

I liked that bastard.

He had more to say than most of the teammates. Plus shepard not aswering and running around was bad ass priceless.

I might have liked him more if it weren't for the fact that he was both more and less sophisticated (in terms of game mechanics) than every other squddie. "More" because of how personalized his living quarters were (and you could ask about it all, etc), but less because of the whole "Leh' me tell ya a story, Shepahd." deal (with no convo wheel or anything, and it was a tossup as to which story you'd get delivered). However, the personalization items that you could ask about very well might have been compensation for that, as asking about them was equivalent to asking another character about "Life on the Flotilla" or "Why did you join Cerberus?", etc.

Remind me:)?

All I remember is the ship flying away, him unloading his rifle, and me having to talk him down after he got mad about losing his quarry for another 10 years.

edited: ahh that, just saw the new post

You're doing it wrong then.

He didnt tell the same story twice with me until the mission before the end,  and I talked to him after every mission.

His voice is amazing, so cool. And while I like having deep characters, I also like characters like Zaeed who aren't really going to change just because Shepherd psychoanalyzes them. He's set in his ways, and it fits :).

Zaeed was nearly a constant on my squad. Definately someone that you would want on your side irl, to be sure. Though the best thing i heard in the game was on illium walking down the corridore and i heard over the PA ... "enkindle this"

Zaeed was awesome. I listened to every one of his little speeches in the cargohold. Also, it was cool to have him with you when you're off recruiting Garrus. A little bit of extra dialogue. He's my favorite character, so I'll be sad if/when he doesn't return.

He was a favorite of mine, and thus why I thought I'd honor him by sending him to lead a fire squad. Unfortunately, I oversaw the blatant possibility of him getting shot. So he's gone now. Still, his badassery is of the highest standard, and I like that. He probably places second, right after Garrus.

I made the same mistake.  Picked Zaeed to lead the second time we split up.  He was the only one I lost.  Poor guy, after all he's lived through!

Zaeed is one of my favorites.  He has some awesome stories.  I hope the next DLC character is as good as him.

just liek Bring Down the Sky played absolutely no part in ME2.

But it does. I heard news reports about how Terra Nova was celebrating the anniversary of the saving of the colony, and I even got an email from the woman I rescued.

Anyway, I agree with the guy who said that Shale set the bar too high. I downloaded Zaeed expecting another Shale. That is, an NPC who's seamlessly integrated into the game, one who'd provide me with a ship upgrade, and interesting dialog ala all the other NPCs.

Basically, Shale was a 0-day DLC ally done right, while Zaeed is one done wrong.

I liked him, what's not to like? He's probably the one human who's survived more hellish missions than Shepard.

He's a better fighter than Jacob but... please, someone get him some Chapstick.

Damn Mercenary lips.
