Zaeed is pretty kickass. Shame I couldn't really 'talk' to him, but his stories are cool to listen to. So are his comments. A pretty awesome character, in my eyes.

No, I liked him too.

Reminded me of some fantasy british SAS space merc with plenty of  wisdom and stories to tell.

I though Zaeed was 100% bad ass. I wish there was more of him, to be brutally honest.

Zaeed is just a badass. You can see that especially during his loyalty mission. "Vido dies, WHATEVER THE COST".

He didn't even hesitate or wait, he just acted. Set the whole refinery on fire lol.

I don't like the bastard because he wanted to let a bunch of innocent miners die for a grudge (yes, that's what it was, no matter how much he screams). He's a loose cannon and perfect to sacrifice for the greater good.

I liked Zaeed. Sure he's not a good person, but he's someone I want on my side, for sure.

I liked his character actually, he reminds me of an old time big game hunter. He finds his prey and gets it no matter the cost.

As Joker said: "He's just like you commander except he takes checks."

All I hear is complaints, he was probably one of my favorite characters on the ship to talk to. (or, more accurately, in his case, listen to.)

I know people are upset at his lack of a dialogue tree, and I do realize it's because he's a tacked on DLC, I thought it played well into how his character worked anyway. He's a mercenary, he doesn't care what you think, he's just there to run a suicide mission and get paid. His stories were interesting, and I enjoyed his dialogues during missions.

I -really- want to see him as an optional character in ME3.

You are NOT alone Okami! :)

Which makes no sense as my Shepard was a paragon.

I liked the his two different eyes, but I didn't really like his armor. I felt he fit in perfectly with the other bad asses like Jack and Grunt. Oh, and as a paragon I completed his loyalty mission by saving people and telling him to fall in line.

he was an okay character but there really wasn't any substance there. it was a shame because there was a lot of potential for him. hell he would have been great if there was a conversation tree. oh well.

His background story is interesting, and his 'loyalty' mission is well designed. The little snippets he tells when he waxes "[expletive] nostalgic" are also fun to listen to. As far as dialogue and voice acting are concerned, his are among the best in the game. No doubt, his overall character design is top notch.

However... As a squad member, I found him to be of minimal use (approaching useless, actually). I recruited him very early in the game, finished his quest, and that was it.

Oh, and while we're talking about this character... DO NOT use him as second team leader or escort during the Suicide Mission if you want to keep everyone alive.

I kinda liked him, except that in-game he was basically another garrus, and garrus automatically wins ties, so...

Zaeed was awesome. I had no problem getting him loyal either.

I liked that his character was in the game a great deal, I hated him when I played his loyalty mission and had to knock him in the face and then saved the miners....but his skillset was a great addition the first few levels when playing on Insanity. He had some great lines in game though....his line on Omega was the best: "Places like these are slaughterhouses disguised as bars...I ---- you not!"

No, I loved Zaeed.  Best AI in the game, great loyalty quest, perfect Renegade companion.

I must agree with this. Zaeed definately grows on you, but Shale was hysterical from the moment you woke her up.

Yep he pulled a Saren and that was NOT cool with my paragon Shepard (almost identical scenario to Saren's mission with Anderson as told in the "Revelations" novel). That combined with the fact that he had lied to me about the nature of his mission meant I was about ready to drop him off at the nearest spaceport and be done with the idiot. Fortunately I was able to paragon some sense into him and gained his loyalty.

As a character though, he wasn't really fleshed out enough I thought but he did pull off the "grizzled veteran" archetype rather well. He's a good "renegade" themed party member but he's easily the most renegade of them all and it makes it very hard for a paragon character to like him in the least.

He's pretty awesome, but I don't like him at all, and it's mostly my fault.

When the game was finally unlocked on steam, I didn't worry about activating my Cerberus account or downloading additional content. So I went through game making choices that mostly reflect myself (probably ~85% paragon), and gathered the whole crew, and really enjoyed doing all the loyalty missions, felt like I had a pretty tight group assembled.

Right before the IFF mission mission that activates the sh*t-storm, I decided to grab Zaeed. He just jumps on the crew, no questions asked, and we go off to the refinery, where he pulls the biggest bull-sh*t, selfish, petty, dangerous maneuver I've seen all game. WTF dude, we're a team, that's not how we roll! You don't just blow **** up while we're all standing inside, and the place is full of civilians. F him. I guess I ended up charming loyalty into him but I didn't even care. I never used him, I just wanted him to sit in the cargo hold and think about what he'd done.

I'm glad he's in the game, but I don't want somebody like that on my team. Just like Jayne, he wouldn't hesitate to sell our *sses down the river if there's a bigger paycheck waiting for him at Ariel Station.

Cool character though

Haters gonna hate. Zaeed was awesome.

That said, I wouldn't put him in charge of KP duty, let alone a squad of my friends. I'd come back and while the dishes might be clean, there'd be hostages taken, the kitchen on fire, and multiple casualties on both sides. The man is dangerous.

He could watch my back, but he needs adult supervision.

So tired of this:). You could talk to him plenty, he just told you what you needed to hear in stories. It was as good a bit of character interaction to me, as the usual boring 20 questions pestering that we usually do in Bioware games! I found it refreshing, Zaed would have punched me in the face if I did the 20 questions dialog tree thing like most characters get in the 3rd degree.
