Am I the only one that liked Zaeed?

I liked him, Bioware however slipped up by making him too much like a side character and not a central character like Shale was.
Having no in-depth conversations was a drop of the ball.

Garrus has the same anger management issue and vendetta.ODST 3 wrote...
I don't like the bastard because he wanted to let a bunch of innocent miners die for a grudge (yes, that's what it was, no matter how much he screams). He's a loose cannon and perfect to sacrifice for the greater good.
Zaaed is basically what Garrus is going to grow up to be if Shepard doesn't keep Garrus in line.

While he never made me grin as much as meeting 'Archangel', his mission was awesome, his voice work was fab and his comments were interesting. He wasn't a poor-joke-wrapped-in-stats like shale and he wasn't a bastard who was also a 'noble warrior'. (The anti-hero who is somehow really noble, such as mandalore/krogan/etc... bit tired of that.)
He also has a heart, unlike some of the other characters.

If you want to kill someone, you don´t get there, set things on fire and do ridiculous crapp with tons of explosions; you approach the target, breath deep and only allow the victim to see your face once his/her death is certain.
So he was absolutely unprofessional.
Still, I´d like a future DLC redeeming him a bit and giving Zaeed propper conversations and so on. Actually he´s supposed to be a legend in the Terminus Systems so...

thats kind of a stupid argument to make, since he is the leader of the blue suns. The fact he continously argues about quality of troops compared to the quantity of mercenary troops hired. You would not want a mercenary leader to show finesse in reality he would be brutal to show not to mess around with.
The only problem i have with this character is that he does not effect the blue suns mercenary groups. They should not attack you or be replaced with someone else. it doesnt make no sense shooting their own leader

He's not their leader, he was their leader. He and another guy founded the group many years earlier but he was forced out and almost killed. So there is no reason why the average Blue Sun merc would know who he is.
His guns blazing approach is pretty unrealistic for a guy who has made a living as a field merc since.

ye his inferno grenade is so sweet against the husk especially if you surounded by like 10 of them and you cant move:happy:GenericPlayer2 wrote...
Zaeed is not bad. Would be better with more dialog, but I don't hate him. His inferno grenade, combined with my area incinerate is how I crowd-control the husks. I always side with him on his loyalty quest - I just see no motivation to do otherwise.

The main reason being that he's so goddamn ugly, fangirls will never start a "Zaeed love thread" and fawn over him like some Twilight character (I'm so sorry Garrus).

Shale set the bar too high.
I don't think any of the DAO chars set any bars anywhere... Except maybe Alister.
I agree. Not even close to ME in terms of characters (well, in terms of everything, actually...). Besides Alister, Shale was very good. Again, a pitty that he was also a DLC. At least, a pitty that not everyone got him. Why did Bioware decided to give you that oaf that you save from a cage, and not Shale? Sten could have been the DLC. Nothing would have been lost to players.

Never underestimate the power of fangirlism...never. Or else it'll be the last thing you do. >_>
By the way, I loved Zaeed and his gruffness. Somehow I was never really turned off by it. Maybe because my own Paragon FemShep is badass enough to put him in his place. I actually thought he was rather charming with his one-liners and his craggy looks.
I guess I'm a softy for older, rough-looking/acting gentlemen. XDD
