All I hear is complaints, he was probably one of my favorite characters on the ship to talk to. (or, more accurately, in his case, listen to.)

I know people are upset at his lack of a dialogue tree, and I do realize it's because he's a tacked on DLC, I thought it played well into how his character worked anyway. He's a mercenary, he doesn't care what you think, he's just there to run a suicide mission and get paid. His stories were interesting, and I enjoyed his dialogues during missions.

I -really- want to see him as an optional character in ME3.

What? Zaeed is a awesome bad ass. Who wouldn't like him? I liked him the 1st time I saw him when he was beating that guy up I laughed. I love when he shoots that guy as hes running away. classic bad ass win. I said I like this guy already. He knows how to get the job done. And I had a big smile on my face. :D

Didn't hate him or even dislike him, but the lack of dialogue combined with the fact that he's neither very interesting nor fills a useful niche in combat means I only ever used him for his own loyalty mission.

Yea Zaeed has a lot of fans. He is a bad ass. And he also has a cool voice going for him. That "I'm old and don't give a F-" sort of old bastard voice. One thing you have to understand about the internet, you're never the only one who likes anything. Assume that and you'll be surprised.

I thought I was the only one who liked Tali and then..

I liked Zaeed, he seemed like exactly the sort of guy you'd want to have your back in a bar fight.  He was kind of underdeveloped relative to the other character's though, simply because he got less dialogue than they did and thats a shame because his character had a lot more potential than some of the duller squad members (Jacob, Grunt).

If you don't make the mistake of investing in concussive shot, he can have a major boost to health and weapons damage, maxed disruptor ammor for attacking shields and synthetics and maxed inferno grenade which is very effective against armor.

Unfortunately I realized this too late and now I'm stuck with maxed concussive shot.   Man, I wish Bioware would release a patch so we can retrain our squad's powers.

He DOESN'T have less dialogue. In most cases he has MORE its just not really interactive with the player. Take him with you on missions and visit him every time you are on the Normandy and you will see.

Zaeed was very, very cool. I was superwary after seeing the trailer but he was so much better than I expected - I loved his conversations and the fact he actually had some depth and strong beliefs that wouldn't be pushed over. I liked that I had to put a gun to him before he became loyal.

Also his abilities & weapon usage - awesome.

Grunt is the most bad ass character in mass effect next to wrex. Hell he sees you as your battle
master and clan. He can take handgun rounds like they are shot from a bb gun. I shot him like 5 times and it didn't phase him even shot him in the face and all it did was give him a little bloody lip. LOL Didn't even hurt him like it was a bee sting.

Krogans are really REALLY awesome! Hes just a fighting machine and a killdozer. But he looks highly of you with alot of respect. "Right to the face!"

Zaeed is awesome! He's definitely not someone you want to be friends with, but a badass fighter just the same.

And he actually does know how to obey orders, if you just paragon!punch him enough.

You have to understand....The "younger" folks and some of the 20 some-odd folks are "growing up" now for some reason with the 1950'-60's mentallity where if it's not "Sunshine and Rainbows" it's considered "taboo" So of course if there is a character that is a "little left of center" alot of people are going to complain.

To put things in perspective, In DA:O...I ONLY recruited Liliana ONCE and that was on my second play through...Why? Because she's a preachy, sanctimonious and self righteous ****.  And I cant stand that crap.  Same basic philosophy applies here:  Those that dont like Zaeed are probably (for the most part) the same ones that do/would like Liliana.

Zaeed's propensity for lighting people on fire is very entertaining, even to a paragon.

here is a list of favorite lines:

Shepherd: Zaeed, stay here and keep Garrus alive.

Zaeed: Roger that...

Merc: Our plan is to charge over accross the bridge in a full on frontal assault

Zaeed: thats goddamn suicide!

Zaeed: I've done a lot of crazy things in my time but I've never took a thresher maw on foot before, standard operating precedure is run the hell away, but those krogan don't seem to know any better...still, helluva fight.

Talak: Now that you're here, maybe you can solve my problem

Zaeed: Anythings possible..

He had the best one liner in my opinion, "burn you son of a ****."

It's like I'm really watching Commando

Joker Sez: "Zaeed is like you, but takes checks."

Kelly points out that he's surprisingly well adjusted given the amount of violence he's seen.  She pretty much nails it.  The guy's brutal, aggressive, violent at the drop of a hat.  Yet, at the same time, he definitely has a strong moral compass and will tell you when he thinks something is bull****.  Bring him along to recruit Jack.  See what he has to say about the guards torturing that one prisoner.  The only time he really loses perspective is during his own loyalty mission, and even then he comes around depending on what you do.  He's the ultimate survivor.

Zaeed is cool in my opinion, he may be a bastard, but he can throw inferno grenades so with me as biotic this was for +

and for - is lack of dialogue with him in comparison to others or even Ash and Liara tiny dialogue mission-events of some sort... but that's just my opinion:)

Add me to the Zaeed fan pile. Most of his dialogue is downright awesome. I was pretty much sold from his intro scene and the 'big, god **** heroes' line.

Though you can't chat him up in his room on the ship, he basically just comments on things. However as far as teammates on missions he is one of the chattier squad members, and he is funny to boot. Several of the squad members say almost nothing during missions.

In my latest play, I am taking him everywhere.

Zaeed is ok, he just brags to hell about everything, but most old people tend to do that

Was indifferent at first as we lacked converstaions aboard the Normandy, but since I started carry him around.

Well said before, he's a rotten bastard. But hey, that's why I like him. Also, for the Firely references.

There is a lot more to Liliana if you peel back the layers, a whole lot. Shes lived a very, very colorful life.

I liked him.
Cold and hardened mercenary, badass!
He's got some interesting war stories to tell, too.
