If you would have read the readme_en.txt you would know. It's in the first part before the install instructions. Hard to miss.

I know it´s probably here already, but who want´s to read about 14 pages. I have single core procesor 2.61GHz, Win XP service pack 3, RAM 2GB and nVidia 9600GT 512MB. When I use CoreFix it work´s, but videos really ugly stuck´s. Is there, or do you think, will be any fix for that? Please simple answer. Thank youImage IPB
PS: I´m talking abot Mass Effect 2.

Thats not what I'm asking - been there, done that.

I want to know where on my computer this DelayTime can be found/accessed so that i can play with adjustments.

And i told you exactly where to find the instructions to use the Delay Time.
Is reading and comprehension that hard?

Alright smartass, not all of us here are as tech savvy as yourself clearly.

Please point out where exactly in this readme file, it explains how one is supposed to find/access 'delayTime':

ENBSeries 0.075:

Patch for Silent Hill Homecoming version d10. Freeze fix, sound problems for single core
processors, allow to run SH5 on Radeon X1300-1950

WARNING! To skip crashes in some areas, press SHIFT F10 keys together before the area
where game terminates, go through that zone and press SHIFT F10 again. Also, if not helps,
press SHIFT F7, SHIFT F8, SHIFT F11 before entering the area, after it press those keys again to restore.
Black characters and walls, colored objects in some places - will be fixed in future.
If your videocard is not Radeon X1300-1950 (or based on the same gpu series), set
PixelShaderLimit=4096, UseVertexTextureFetch=1 and don't need file vars_pc.cfg
If the sound still distorted, try to modify DelayTime from 0 till 100 (start from 0).

//++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
//
//++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
HOW TO INSTALL:
Extract file "vars_pc.cfg" to "Engine" folder of the game (replace old one).
Extract all other files to the "Bin" game folder, where SilentHill.exe is located.
I strongly recommend in the game video options DO NEVER SET quality level to "high".

SUPPORTED VIDEOCARDS:
LIMITED:
ATI Radeon X1xxx series. Do not ask me to do this for older cards.
FULLY WORKABLE
NVidia GeForce 6100 and higher.
ATI Radeon 2400 and higher.

FIXED:
d8: fixed game freezes for single core processors, but not tested.
d7: turned on sound for some hardware configuraton
d6: some videocards/drivers combination not allow to run game at all because of error
in the version message displayed on the screen, removed.

PS: Sorry for such slow development, i don't have videocards for testing myself.

This patch is the part of ENBSeries project.

You are both right and wrong, Hammer_Of_God. The readme is not worded very well, but you didn't read my post carefully.

In the readme for the fix it says, that if you are having sound problems you can try adjusting DelayTime in enbseries.ini

When system enters hibernation while DTS® Connect or Dolby® Digital Live is enabled, sound does not output to the external decoder after system wakes up.
Known Issues:

Requirements:

Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit, Windows Vista 64-bit with Service Pack 1 (SP1), Windows Vista 32-bit with SP1, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3), Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) 2005 or Windows XP MCE 2004

@ BladeRyo

I didn't say it works, it was only a suggestion. I don't have any problems with sound after applying the fix.

Also, title of this thread should be changed to pertain to all stuttering probs, not just single core CPU's...

Bioware isn't known for being fast, but at least their patches work.

I have a single core CPU.  By using the single core fix (which removes the loading screen) I was able to run this game up till the IFF shuttle part.  After finish talking to Edi the game will display a black screen and won't run anymore.  From reading this topic it seems like a common problem.  I hope there is a fix soon since I can't wait to finish this great game!  :D

Man, no patch yet? I've been away for a couple of weeks and half-way expected a patch by now. You're not kidding about BW being slow on the patches.

The game was released not even a month ago. It's pretty new. I expect a patch in March, not earlier. But that's just a guess.

CCHIPSS

Use the Sargass Fix noted in the third post in this thread. This fixes problems with stuttering movies and fixes the IFF mission too. Had no problems playing it.

Yes, I know the game is relatively new, but this bug is pretty flagrant..not to be addressed quickly. I'm a fan of BW but this is not just a bug for many, but a show stopper. It doesn't just discriminate against the out-dated/lower than minimum hardware, it won't run on rigs which meet/exceed the minimum specs. More testing would seem to be in order.

I have this problem and have been able to make it through most of the game without incident using the -nomoviestartup fix, except now I can't complete Thane's loyalty mission because of the bink file bug.

In order to dock on the Citadel I need to enable movies again. My problem is that after the interrogation bit you are automatically sent elsewhere...which means my game will freeze during that loading screen. Citadel will not load at all if I have movies disabled, therefore I cannot save before the interrogation then try and load the game from there. Has anyone with the problem gotten around this, or is my Thane doomed?

Read the third post in this thread. There is a workaround that let's you use movies without the crashing and stuttering. You need to replace some loading screens and use a user Fix. Works great, even in the infamous IFF mission. I was able to play through the game without using -nomoviestartup.

You'd think it (the bug) wouldn't have gotten past testing in the first place<_<...

Normally I'd use one of the user fixes... but I simply don't have the patience to go slogging through the game's files, backing up and replacing this and that<_<....

So Bioware... Find the problem and get that patch out already!!!

I would like to remind folks that when they come out with their next patch, it will not contain anything deliberately targeted at solving these problems.  We will have to wait until the next patch after that for any fixes.  If you think this is taking long now, just wait until they have to start from patching scratch after this one is released.  Due to BioWare's inability or unwillingness to see any of these issues as needing immediate attention, it will be months before they patch this, and that is if they patch this at all.  If you keep coming back every hour/few hours/few days/week/few weeks hoping to see something, you're wasting your time.  I know I am...

BioWare should make this patch as soon as possible. Do not say that he has to repair everything, but even the most important problems of stability, optimization, and overall operation of the game. Without this, many players can not afford a comfortable gameplay. Therefore, rather than spend the next DLC BioWare should first focus on the patch and make it as soon as possible.

It would be great if, in future releases, instead of spending time making 300 trailers and teasers Bioware could, I don't know, test the game?
