Hi, I have bought DAO through steam (the digital deluxe version) So far I never had any problems with DLC. With the launch of Return to Ostagar I used the instructions Bioware's webpage and got myself 400 Points. Only.. The DLC doesn't show up in the Downloadable Content Menu. Nor can I find any other way to buy the DLC.

Is there a way to purchase it directly through bioware's site? Or do you have any other ideas why this is happening...

One of 2 things I did fixed the above issue, mine was not showing up as available content on the in game screen.

I downloaded the latest patch 1.0.2a

I ran the configuratin utility

When I fired up the game and logged in, and went to DLC in game, there it was.

Hope this fixes it for you.

Regards, Vailenn

As Vailenn said make sure you have the latest patch.

Also something I came across in a post that worked for me: go to your Dragon Age folder on your computer and start the game from the "DAOriginsLauncher" file.

Hope it works out for you!

You can get the correct Patch 1.02 from http://social.biowar...page/da-patches. (Also found by going to Games->Dragon Age->Game Patches from the menu on the top of this site.)

I have the same problem . I'm wondering whether it has anything to do with buying the game through Steam

Also it won't let me manually update the game to 1.12a because it is a Steam game

Don't know whether this is a Steam or Bioware problem

I have the same problem and I did not buy the game from Steam. Game is patched and my port is open as far as I can tell from the thread above this one. Hey Bioware just put it on your site. OMG!

Had it not showing up myself, turning the dragonage service off and deleting the manifest file trick fixed it.

Tried everything suggested and cant get it to show up. Do you have to buy the add-on before it shows as available to download - or can you download then purchase to activate?

Just logged in to buy it and it didn't show up. Had to open and close the game twice and load a game and then I got a message there were additional content available for download ... so, downloading it right now.

Go into your documents->Bioware->Dragon Age->Settings.  Move manifest.xml from the folder.  Restart game.

When you restart the game it should create a new manifest.xml automatically, and RtO will be in your available downloads folder.

ty krylo your method works.

looked into it after my game had to be re- installed after it kept crashing!

Then most of my dlc was there apart form return to ostagar.

Thanks for the tip Krylo. I panicked slightly when I couldn't find the DLC available for download, for I had already purchased BioWare Points.

for those of you still having problems getting DLC to show thy this(its what was on official support page) go to run under you start menu and run this "services.msc" find Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater. double click it this will bring up the properties. where it says service status make sure it says started. if it says stopped then start it. this should fix the problem.

this is the Digital management system for Dragon Age: Origins downloadable content. without it nothing shows up.

This did the trick right there.  Awesome job.
