Since he dies in the 'canon' story. chances are he is NOT in ME3 as a squadmate?? 

Grunt seems pretty cool but I prefer Wrex still

Bioware deliberately had a bad start for default ME2, so people would play ME1

WREX FTW!!! He's the only one that is really happy to see you. "Shephard! My friend!" and doesn't even care about Cerberus.

Garrus, Tali (she hates Cerberus and she still joins your team) and Wrex are the only ones that are happy that you're alive. The rest doesn't really care or talks to much about Cerberus. Garrus is the only old squadmate that doesn't really care that he works for Cerberus.
Garrus about Cerberus:
I'm not so sure about Cerberus goals.

He even wishes that he joined Cerberus earlier (it won't end well, he's a Turian, but still)

 Personally, I love both characters. But I would really like to see Grunt return to Clan Urdnot and help Wrex unite the clans against the Reapers.

As stated before I would LOVE to have Wrex join up again in ME3 but his role is pretty clear. I was jumping for joy when I headed to Tuchanka, soon as Wrex spots you,

I don't have anything negative against Grunt, to some people he can come of as being a bit dull but I think that's due to the fact that he's still young (In terms of experience), no real stories to share unlike Wrex who could tell you some riveting encounters he's had in the past.

I did not play ME 1 but seeing the video of Wrex in ME 2 next to Garrus Wrex showed Shepard some respect unlike Tali

I want Grunt and Wrex to be interchangeable in ME3. If you want Wrex on your Squad he leaves Grunt in charge of Tuchanka. Or if Wrex is in your squad, Grunt can lead the Krogan armada in the final battle against the Reapers. And vice versa - Grunt in Squad - Wrex leading Krogan. That would be awesome.

Wrex: "Shepard I'm coming with you - it's time for us to finish off these Reapers."

I wouldn't want Wrex back as a squaddie. I like Wrex as an NPC - it gives a much better chance for his age and wisdom to show. I wouldn't mind him turning up in the finale with a hardcore squad of Krogan to destroy things with me though.

Krogan characters are a weird place for me - I like seeing all the different ones because they have such interesting diversity.

Wrex has a lot of work to do. I agree with Multifarious Algorithm ! The idea having him with an army of Krogans at the final battle sounds very good for me too ^^ That would be Epic.

There is no "canon story". (The developers have said this so many ****ing times )
There is the default story which is made for players who have not played ME1 so wouldn't be able to recognise saving Wrex as they never met him so its easier for him not to be in their game.

I like both of them. Wrex is more of a thinker compared to Grunt. I think Grunt's attitude of "I don't care what the reasoning is, just tell me what to kill!" is funny, in the game.

there is no Canon in ME.. the ME 2 basic file is just that a basic file for people without ME 1 and to be honest anyone who uses the basic file is pretty sad lol since you dont get the full me 2 experience

I like Wrex more, but he has a good reason to be doing other things in ME3. It would be nice to have him back for one mission, though. They've already got his model and voice, how difficult would it be?

However, I speculate that every (previously squaddie) character might have a temporary role as a Squad Member.

Wrex was indeed my favorite chracter from the first game. Hearing he would not be a squadmate in ME2 left me disappointed, but when I got to see him on Tuchanka, I was happy with what's become of him.

I would really like to have him re-join in ME3, but I am also content with where he is now.

I'm kind of hoping it will get close to the end of ME3, and things are beginning to look bleak, then out of nowhere Wrex turns up and turns the tide of a battle somehow. I mean Wrex has always been relatively quiet so if he keep his entrance towards the end it means the VA doesn't have to record tons of lines that wont be heard by people who never played ME1.



Wrex and Garrus, for some reasons are the only characters I really respected and related to. The others are all cool in their own ways and I like them, but can't relate to them like i can with Wrex and Garrus.



Wrex was with me when we took down Saren and Sovereign, Wrex was with me and Garrus at the start. I want him there at the end.
